Broward's sheriff training center was first estimated at $34M. The county auditor now puts it at $73.7M, including a $7.5M wellness center with a sauna and cold plunge tub. Still think local government can't find savings? Vote YES on 3.

Don't listen to their fear mongering propaganda. If they cut deputies, firefighters & paramedics it's because they chose to punish you for voting to make them & their political masters be responsible with YOUR $, not because they have to. There are many, many, less critical things they could cut (including overspending on non-essential expenditures in their own departments) before they go to cutting staff. The only reason they would go straight to this option is to make it hurt you out of spite.
Side note: I don't even own anything to pay property taxes on & have no dog in this fight.

Would do some of these Gator fans some good to watch the first couple episodes to remind themselves even Saban needed time to turn things around.

Amendment 3 raises the homestead exemption to $150K in 2027 and $250K in 2028, and cuts the non-homestead cap from 10% to 5%. Local governments still set their rates, in public. Make them justify every dollar. Vote YES on 3.

🚨BREAKING: Governor Ron DeSantis has confirmed that after finalizing the new budget, the state of Florida will have slashed spending for 4 straight years.
Despite having a similar population to New York, Florida’s budget will be less than half the size of New York’s. The state’s rainy day fund will be 100% full and more than 3 times larger than it was just 7 years ago.
All of this with no state income tax and upcoming cuts to property taxes.
Florida continues to lead with fiscal responsibility and strong conservative governance.
🚨 BREAKING: GRANNY HAS OFFICIALLY BEEN TAKEN HOSTAGE BY THE BUDGET DEBATE.
The “Granny Dies” crowd is apparently out of arguments, so now we’re told ambulances disappear, fire trucks stop rolling, police vanish—and Grandma pays the ultimate price.
That’s not a budget argument. That’s a hostage note.
Debate the numbers. Spare us the scare tactics.
There it is. “Vote our way or granny dies.”
That’s not an argument. That’s emotional blackmail dressed up as public policy.
Fund fire. Fund EMS. Fund the cops. Pay them properly. Then cut the nonessential crap before threatening taxpayers with dead grandmothers and burning houses.
If fear is your budget plan, you don’t have a budget plan.

Miami-Dade Sheriff @Sheriff_Rosie’s statement is straight-up SAVAGE 🔥 against @MayorDaniella’s Amendment 3 fearmongering!
❌Daniella warns property-tax relief means cuts to basic services & public safety.
✅ Sheriff Rosie’s message: Stop using public safety to frighten voters away from property-tax relief.🎯
‼️Taxpayers keeping more of their own money shouldn’t be treated like a threat to public safety, Daniella‼️
✔️🗳️ VOTE YES AMENDMENT 3🏠💰

WE HAVE A PROBLEM: This is a well written and thought out article written by a 26 yr old college student by the name of Alyssa Ahlgren, who's in grad school for her MBA. What a GREAT perspecitve...
My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us!
I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around.
I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it.
Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought.
We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!!
Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ??
Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity."
Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in.
When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided.
My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress.
Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country.
People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism.
Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism.
We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague." Please Share

🚨 BREAKING: In a stunning turnaround, the founder of HOME DEPOT, who did not want to vote for President Trump, is shocking the business world.
He also opposed tariffs.
Now?
"I am SOLD on Trump."
"I think he's got a good shot at going down in history as one of our best presidents ever," Ken Langone said
HOST: "That is a REAL turnaround, because you didn't want to vote for him!"
LANGONE: "I'll tell you the reason...I'm a believer. What I'm seeing happening is absolutely nothing short of a great thing. And there's a beat. People are walking with more bounce...I think this guy is turning out to be a [great] president."
