One of the most life-giving parts about Christianity is that you don’t owe any political party, movement, or dogma your blind loyalty. Yes, God’s heart for justice can be worked out through activism, but it’s not the ultimate. He is.

Not underrated, but @girlsHBO.
Besides THE WIRE, THE SOPRANOS and GAME OF THRONES, what’s one HBO series everyone needs to watch at least once? Looking for those underrated gems and all-time greats that deserve to be in the conversation.

Abdul is not the only Muslim to run for the Senate. Mehmet Oz ran in 2024. No one ran against Oz because he’s a Muslim. That’s because Oz didn’t call Israel Bloodthirsty. Oz didn’t write an oped urging support for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Oz didn’t have donors who belonged to the MB. Oz didn’t blame terrorism on the policies of the US. And Oz didn’t justify a terrorist on a synagogue. This race isn’t about Abdul’s faith. It’s about his extremist ideas.
El-Sayed: "We had a little debate. Or I had a debate and he just pointed at me and said, 'He's Muslim.'"

I think it's weird how few people are troubled by the gist of Sayed's Islamophobia defense. If you say that asking about support for the Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamophobic attack on your religion, then at some level you're suggesting -- or at least encouraging the inference -- that the MB's form of Islam defines or informs your interpretation of Islam. There are lots of Muslims that don't subscribe to the MB version and when you ask them about the Muslim Brotherhood, they don't respond by saying "how dare you attack my religion?"

Believe it or not - it is not uncommon for people from the Middle East to learn that they are in fact Jewish. When I share my story, I can't tell you how many people tell me they had the same experience. Their parents or grandparents were forced to flee their homes across the Middle East and/or practice in secret and they didn't want that for their children. So, they just didn't tell us...
Raised Christian in America after her family fled the Lebanese Civil War, @HagarChemali learned as a teenager that her mother was secretly #Jewish. Today, she proudly identifies as Christian, Jewish & a self-described Lebanese #Zionist. I spoke with her about her remarkable journey and work to advance peace between #Lebanon & #Israel & why she felt a responsibility to be public about it in the wake of #October7👇📺 | Our full conversation: youtu.be/oV_zNXIpxP4?si=PqH-…

Israel is an American ally. Not an enemy. And that aid that Sayed complains about? That actually is part of what we chose to provide to Israel and Egypt to get them to peace and usher in decades of American leadership in the Middle East. I guess he’s not really for peace either. Go figure.
Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed shared his views on U.S.-Israel relations, saying he does not consider Israel an American ally: “I think it’s time for us to realize that Israel is not actually our friend.” Watch the full conversation tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC News Live Prime’s “All Access with Linsey Davis” streaming on @disneyplus and @hulu.

The memorial at Maidan Square is extraordinary, so many flags. Here I show some of the tributes to Americans and other foreigners who gave their lives fighting for freedom in Ukraine.

Read a little about Putin, his life, and mind, and you learn that he does not merely plan to reconstitute the Russian empire. That is not enough. He plans to humiliate the West in a way commensurate to the humiliation he felt on November 9, 1989 when the Berlin Wall came tumbling down. That humiliation, in its purest form, looks like Marine Le Pen, Alice Weidel, and most notably—Donald Trump. The fact that Americans voted for his obvious puppet two times, the fact that his Theilian chameleon J.D. Vance is on the news talking about how nice Putin is on the phone, the fact that Putin’s mass murder of civilians and kidnapping of children like some primordial ghoul is casually ignored by the US administration, is all a part of that humiliation. And that humiliation can end, but that means helping Ukraine defeat him.

And if you believe that, I have nice towers in Paris and Pisa to sell you! Russia’s destabilization agenda reaches from pushing immigrants to Europe to sponsoring far left and far right political groups and violent agitators. You never have to dig deep to find the Russian money.
I’m sure this is all completely spontaneous and Russia has nothing to do with this either in France or Italy

We are past warnings. Cities are burning. More will follow. This will come to the United States IMO. This is an attack on western societies and values. Yes, there are many root causes. Uncontrolled migration without assimilation. International funding of protest for violent purposes. Issues of affordability. Education. Housing shortages. Employment opportunities, etc. They started with issues but then are quickly hijacked by ultra-left radicals, islamist, the red-green alliance, opportunists, and those brainwashed by victimhood. Why? Lack of values, purpose, and identity. With eroded traditional sources of identity and purpose (family, nation, vocation, faith), huge groups fill the void by claiming victim status or becoming advocates for other designated supposed victims. Responsibility is externalized: the system - capitalism, democracy, natives, “the West,” or some oppressor always explains their personal or collective shortfalls. This produces victimhood culture, beliefs of shared grievance, and alliances with radicals who offer belonging through struggle rather than responsibility, competence, or reform. The leftists/Marxist, the Islamists, and those thirsting for purpose don’t want reforms. They want to destroy society. They want identity through victimhood and destruction. They take no responsibility for their own status, there is always an oppressor to blame, always someone else’s fight. So they burn what they won’t fix. Step one is law and order. Reinforce the police. Enforce the law. Arrest, track, and if applicable deport every single person who commits violence or crimes. These won’t be the last protests or cities to burn if "let's address their grievances," suicidal empathy, victimhood culture, political cowardliness continues.

I’m going to share some videos that I took in Ukraine last week. This was my train ride to Poland, which got evacuated three times for drone strikes. This was the night that Starlink wasn’t working and that hindered Ukrainian drone defense. We didn’t know that at the time.

Sound like another conflict in the news…
If Putin stops fighting, the war ends. If Zelensky stops fighting then his country will be occupied, leaders murdered, language banned, businesses stolen, children kidnapped. That's what happens in Russian-occupied Ukraine.

Zelensky is a hero of the West. This is incandescently clear. Putin is a tyrannical, blood-soaked enemy of the West. This is indisputable. Our president and his biggest fans flatter Putin and hate Zelensky. Which tells us a lot about who they are.

Fundamentally dishonorable conduct by our government. Shameful.
U.S. intelligence officials warned the Ukrainian Embassy in DC that if there are more strikes on Russian energy sites, the U.S. would halt intelligence sharing. “The warnings were so widespread that anyone with a Ukrainian-sounding last name got a call” ...
