Arne Slot's Liverpool have lost more Premier League matches in a row this season than Ange Postecoglou did at Nottingham Forest. (And that's with more than the half dozen training sessions Ange had Forest for)

Bravo. We need a PM who stands up to #Trump - not one who fawns over him. #Ukraine
Russia illegally and unjustifiably invaded Ukraine. For three years now, Ukrainians have fought with courage and resilience. Their fight for democracy, freedom, and sovereignty is a fight that matters to us all. Canada will continue to stand with Ukraine and Ukrainians in achieving a just and lasting peace.

Today's events in Washington are a clear cause for deep concern, for shock, for anger. What we need now are cool heads and clear thinking. We must stand firm with our European allies in the steadfast defence of Ukraine. That is where Scotland stands.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇺🇦

President of #Ukraine @ZelenskyyUa is being deluged by - and retweeting - support from European leaders following the shocking #Trump thuggery in the Oval Office today. Europe is upping its game. One significant name missing from the supportive messages thus far: Keir Starmer.

Hello @EastCoastBuses - if a group of people are standing at a bus stop, it's probably because they want to catch a a bus. Can you have a word with your drivers please?

Kind of think Brighton should have had two penalties tonight

So at the next meeting of Edinburgh Council, Labour, Lib Dems and Tories will vote for a motion in memory of 11-year-old Thomas Wong, killed in a collision while cycling just last week, and then immediately turn round and vote to *decrease* cyclist safety.
Amendments are out and I’m pretty stunned & devastated that LAB/LD/CON propose to remove *all* filters along the route. If this happens, this will be the most tragic decision the Council has made since I was elected (and that really is saying something). democracy.edinburgh.gov.uk/d…

On Thursday, Cllrs will be deciding on the future of the Greenbank-Meadows Quiet Route 🚲🌳🚶‍♀️👩‍🦼 I have written this blog outlining why Greens support strengthening of the route and oppose any measures to reduce filters along it (1) edinburghgreens.org.uk/blog/…

You suspended the whole EDI group in response to the Minister’s accusation. I can only speak for myself but this clearly signalled to me that doing EDI work is not only unrewarded & unvalued but also risky to wellbeing, career& reputation. Was that the message you wanted to send?

But it does underscore how it is a choice to conclude green public investment is 'unafforable'. The £28bn would equate to just two per cent of public spending and would represent an investment that would boost energy security, curb costs, create jobs, and cut emissions.

"Raw sewage pumped into sea at Poole, Hastings and Isle of Wight after downpours." Perhaps the PM would like to stop off and go for a swim on his way back from Plymouth. inews.co.uk/news/sewage-pool…

But what if he won’t spend to save the planet and our children’s futures despite the money required to do so being available? If that’s the case the real question is about what his priorities really are. Only he can answer that. What I am saying is he has the freedom to decide.

In the face of both a climate emergency and a cost of living crisis where millions of people are struggling to pay energy bills and stay warm, Labour decide to ditch support for home insulation? Unbelievable.
🚨 NEW: Keir Starmer will cut back his home insulation scheme as part of his green policy U-turn later today [@guardian]

I’ve been arguing for a Green New Deal for the UK since 2008 because the country needs it, the economy needs it and climate change demands it. And now Labour is saying we can’t afford it when it would pay for itself out of the growth it would generate. What are Labour doing?

So deeply depressing - not only bad for climate & environment, but for economy too. Public investment in green transition would bring in private finance, create jobs, reduce fuel bills, cut emissions & make lives better. Starmer should stand his ground not bow to Tory pressure

How will Labour explain to future generations why they chose to ignore the climate emergency? Sorry, a liveable planet just didn't "make the cut"?
As Labour set to ditch £28bn figure on the Green prosperity plan tomorrow, expect Labour to pin this on 1/ economic uncertainty due to what they say is Tory mismanagement of econ 2/ Will prob also say finalising manifesto details this week & the figure (see 1/) didn’t make cut

Spot on from Barry Gardiner here. With countless policy flip flops, weekly u turns and regular ditching of previous pledges, voters would be right to be asking this morning, what on earth DOES Starmer's Labour stand for? #DontVoteRedTory #VoteGreen 💚
