They acknowledged the excellent relationship between the City-State & the EU, at the important juncture of EU-ASEAN 50 years’ partnership & Singapore chairship of ASEAN in 2027.
The @Europarl_EN has shortlisted three candidates for the 2026 Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought.
The laureate will be announced on 22 October 2026, with the award ceremony taking place during the December plenary session.

Great to welcome the Speaker of the Parliament of Singapore Seah Kian Peng to @Europarl_EN in Strasbourg as he begins his European tour.
We had a good discussion on strengthening our friendly relations, deepening parliamentary dialogue and expanding cooperation, particularly in trade.
