This is Moyale ,Ethiopia.
The regime and its affiliates are rushing in NARRATIVE CONTROL.
The crisis in Moyale is already a regional crisis.
Spillover into Kenya (verified):
- 3 Kenyans killed, ∼20-21 injured— Addis Standard, Daily Nation, Capital FM, Eastleigh Voice all same numbers
- Nov 2: Amina Guchi, 64/65*, killed by stray bullet to back of head while speaking to security officer near Moyale Law Courts / Marsabit County offices
- Nov 4: 20-year-old woman in Biashara area hit by 2 stray bullets in back at home
- Nov 1: >10+ unexploded RPGs landed in Kenya, 3 near Sessi Primary School + Meteorological Dept, detonated by KDF
- *Bullets hit Moyale Sub-County Hospital, Moyale Market, Sessi Mixed Secondary — 220 KCSE candidates relocated
- 50,000+ Ethiopians fled to Kenya, UNHCR seeking $8.9M, camps at OMC, Al Huda, Oriental Mission Church
Kenyan officials (Deputy County Commissioner Benedict Munywoki, Police Commander George Kipkoros) say these were stray bullets / RPGs from fighting across border, not aimed at Kenya— but they still killed Kenyans.

The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church believers in the Arsi Zone of the Oromia region have been under persistent attack. Christians in this area have no protection from the government, making its security apparatus complicit in ongoing religiously motivated killings.
These recurring attacks need immediate attention from the international community, as things are getting worse day by day. Media outlets, international human rights organizations, governments, and advocates should make this horrific situation one of their top priorities!

Death Toll Rises In Ethiopia After 34 More Christians Killed
At least 34 Ethiopian Orthodox Christians have been killed in a fresh attack by gunmen in #Ethiopia's Oromia region, bringing the reported death toll from attacks on worshippers to at least 94 in less than three weeks.
🚨 40 bodies recovered and buried in a mass grave following massacre of over 50 Orthodox Christians in Endeto, Arsi, Oromia Region
New information emerging on November 6th, 2026, indicates that 40 bodies have so far been recovered and buried in a single mass grave following Thursday’s massacre of Orthodox Christians in Endeto, Arsi Zone, Oromia Region. According to local sources, Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) personnel initially oversaw the collection of 34 bodies, while another wounded victim subsequently died and five additional bodies were brought from surrounding areas, bringing the number buried to 40. Sources allege that ENDF personnel ordered the bodies to be buried hastily in a single pit and prohibited families from mourning loudly. Additional victims reportedly remain unaccounted for in nearby forests and ravines.
Meanwhile, wounded survivors have been unable to access medical treatment after armed groups blocked a privately hired vehicle attempting to transport them to Robe. Sources warn that the death toll could rise as injured civilians remain without medical assistance. Orthodox Christian residents also accuse the @AbiyAhmedAli regime security authorities of failing to protect them, alleging that officials told threatened families to either convert or leave the area. The latest massacre follows separate attacks that killed at least 60 Orthodox Christians in Arsi during October, bringing renewed attention to the continued killings and insecurity affecting Christian communities in the area.
🚨 Over 50 Orthodox Christians massacred in Endeto, Arsi, today, one week after 60 Christians were killed in the same area
Another deadly attack targeting Ethiopian Orthodox Christians took place on November 5th, 2026, in Endeto, Arsi, Oromia Region, just one week after a separate massacre claimed the lives of more than 60 Orthodox Christians in the area. According to local sources, more than 50 bodies had been recovered by Thursday evening following an assault involving armed militants equipped with mortars, sniper rifles and other weapons. The attackers also looted Christian-owned homes and businesses, seized livestock and destroyed property, while bodies remained scattered across nearby forests. Local sources identified the attackers as members of the Maddawalaabuu Brigade, an armed group backed by the government that was also involved in last week’s killings in Birbona and Chole Kebeles of Shirka Woreda.
Reports have emerged concerning the involvement of local government officials in facilitating the attack. Residents reportedly warned authorities days beforehand after observing armed gatherings and weapons being unloaded at a local mosque, but their warnings were dismissed. Woreda officials allegedly contacted zonal and regional authorities to reject additional security reinforcements, claiming sufficient forces were already available, while access roads were reportedly dug up to obstruct the arrival of ENDF troops. Sources further allege that local officials confiscated weapons from Christian residents while allowing other armed groups to retain weapons, leaving Orthodox Christian militia members severely outgunned. Several militia members were reportedly killed within minutes of confronting the attackers. ENDF reinforcements eventually reached the area after dark and began recovering bodies.

THREAT INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING
34 Orthodox Christians Killed in Endato, East Arsi, Ethiopia
Friday, November 6, 2026
UNCLASSIFIED // OPEN SOURCE
BOTTOM LINE UP FRONT
On Thursday, November 5, around 11 AM local time, attackers hit Endato village in Robe district, East Arsi Zone, Oromia Region, Ethiopia. The bodies of 34 Orthodox Christian victims were gathered at Endato Debre Mitmaq St. Mary Church. The community warns the toll may rise as recovery continues. Several people were injured. Shops and homes were burned or damaged. Eyewitnesses say roads were blocked, cutting off medical access. That claim has not been independently confirmed.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Midday attack in Endato Kebele, Robe Woreda, East Arsi.
- Victims were Orthodox Christians. Bodies brought to St. Mary Church in Endato.
- Follows October 20 and October 24 attacks in Merti and Shirka. The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church reported about 60 Orthodox Christians killed in those earlier attacks.
- Open-source reporting now puts the combined toll from attacks on worshippers at least 94 in less than three weeks.
THE ATTACKERS
No group has been publicly confirmed for the November 5 Endato attack. Ethiopia's Human Rights Commission attributed the earlier October attacks in the area to the Oromo Liberation Army. That covers those earlier killings. It does not, by itself, name who carried out Thursday's massacre.
THE VICTIMS
Orthodox Christian civilians in Endato. Names have not been fully released in the reporting we have.
CURRENT STATUS
Authorities arrested nearly 70 suspects after the October killings. Thursday's attack raises fresh concern that the violence has not stopped. Recovery is ongoing. Numbers may change.
WHY IT MATTERS FOR CHURCHES HERE
This is the third major hit on Orthodox communities in East Arsi in under three weeks. When violence comes in waves, later attacks often land while people are still burying the first. You are not facing that threat level in most of the United States. The lesson still transfers. Know your ground. Know who is coming to help you. Know how long that help takes.
WHAT YOUR SAFETY TEAM CAN DO
1. Walk the outside of the building before every service. Lot, doors, bushes, trash areas, and anything that was not there last week.
2. Build a real relationship with your local police. Have a named contact, not just a non-emergency number.
3. Know your police and fire response times for a Sunday morning and a weeknight. Time it. Write it down. Plan to hold until they arrive.
4. After any incident or credible threat, expect a second wave. Keep coverage up while you handle the first scene.
5. Brief ushers and greeters on blocked-exit plans. Have a secondary exit.
6. Check claims before you share them. Wrong numbers hurt the people you are trying to help.
Pray for the families in Endato, for the wounded, for the Orthodox Christians of East Arsi, and for those burying their dead again.
Details may change as the investigation develops.
