BIG STORY 👇: President Trump @POTUS and his administration have now saved hundreds of Christians’ lives in Nigeria in just the past two weeks. After becoming aware of the rapidly growing Fulani militant presence in Plateau, US officials began applying intense pressure to the government of Nigeria, which finally responded. @ADFLegal @ADFIntl @DailySignal

Ethiopia: At least 47 Ethiopian Christians were killed, and another 18 hospitalized, in coordinated attacks targeting them in the Oromia region. Surviving witnesses claimed regional authorities collaborated with Islamist militias to carry out the massacre. Church leaders have repeatedly warned local authorities about armed groups entering the area, but received no serious response. This is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a pattern of targeted attacks against Ethiopian Christians, who militants conflate with Amhara ethnicity. This fusion of religious and ethnic violence against innocent Christians and their churches must not be tolerated. We condemn these evil acts and call for the protection of Ethiopia’s Christians.

This is a devastating escalation of this recent wave of targeted killings of Orthodox Christians in Oromia, Ethiopia. Dozens killed. Homes destroyed. No response. This should not be ignored.
🚨 At least 47 Orthodox Christians have been massacred by Oromo militants in Shirka Woreda, Arsi Zone, Oromia Region, as homes are burned and security forces fail to intervene At least 47 Ethiopian Orthodox Christians were killed in coordinated attacks by Oromo militants on October 24, targeting Birbo, Chole and Sole Guna kebeles in Shirka Woreda, Arsi Zone, Oromia Region. According to information from the area, attackers surrounded communities, preventing residents from escaping, before killing civilians, burning numerous residential homes and looting property. The attacks involved armed groups operating in Shirka Woreda alongside additional fighters mobilized from the Wabe River, Honqolo Wabe and Robe Didea areas of Bale Zone. Families of victims accused the local Prosperity Party administration of supporting the perpetrators. Residents in Gobessa Town, the woreda’s administrative center, reportedly appealed to local police and security forces for immediate intervention but were told, “We have not received orders.” Security forces subsequently failed to intervene. The Arsi Diocese of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church confirmed that Christians were being killed and displaced from their homes and warned that similar attacks were occurring in other woredas. The diocese stated that His Grace Abune Elsa, Archbishop of Arsi and Jigjiga, had repeatedly raised the deteriorating security situation with authorities, including the Ministry of Peace, but no effective solution had been implemented. The Arsi Diocese called upon the Holy Synod and the Abiy regime to take immediate action to stop the killings, protect Orthodox Christian communities and address the worsening security crisis.

This really understates things. The Catholics in Africa are vastly more likely to be practicing and orthodox than in Europe, where only a small percentage even go to church regularly.
According to a new report from the Vatican, there are now more Catholics in Africa than in Europe. Father Augustine Dada, a Catholic priest from Nigeria and Vice President of the Pontifical Society of Saint Peter the Apostle USA, discusses the growing Church in Africa.

Heartbroken over today’s horrific attack on a church in Jordan. Extremists opened fire during a funeral, killing 7 and injuring 34. The victims were extended family members of a dear friend of mine. Jordan is often considered one of the safest countries for Christians in the Middle East. Praying for the grieving families, the injured, and the Christian community shaken by this senseless violence.

This case is CRAZY! Egypt has imprisoned 6 young Christian men for 2 weeks & counting because they made a TikTok simply mimicking a scene from a popular Egyptian comedy movie. Outrageous. But it's also part of a pattern of censorship against Christians 👇 @ADFIntl @ADFLegal

The purpose of documents like this is create a rhetorical motte-and-bailey in order to tar and scapegoat a wide swathe of normal conservative Christians as "extreme" through insinuation while retreating to plausible deniability when called on it.
EXCLUSIVE: Leaked Home Office counter-terrorism documents link “nostalgia for traditionalism” and fears over immigration, liberalism and multiculturalism to “Christian extremism”. Officials propose working with churches to promote “theological resilience” against the use of Christian teachings to justify hatred or violence. I obtained dozens of pages from RICU’s report on “Christian extremism”. Among the findings: • Images of happy families in wartime, peaceful countryside and classical statues are described as a “hook” towards an extremist worldview. • Tommy Robinson’s rallies and a Christmas carol concert come under scrutiny, alongside Christian fitness groups. • “Bob from Speakers’ Corner” features, despite RICU identifying no extremist content from him. Yet the report acknowledges that the threat of violence from Christian extremists remains “low”. Jeremiah Igunnubole, UK legal counsel for ADF, says the report “suggests an institutional anti-Christian bias has taken hold in the Home Office”. stevenedginton.substack.com/…

‼️ ARRESTED FOR A TIKTOK ‼️ Egypt has detained six young Christian men on charges of "exploiting" and "insulting" the Islamic religion. The men posted a video with audio from a popular comedy film, which depicts a scene of prisoners who are unfamiliar with the Quranic prayers. After the video amassed comments inciting violence against the men, local police arrested them. We urge the authorities to release these six young Christians and drop any investigations against them immediately. Read more below:

This is part of a terrible recent pattern of the Egyptian authorities cracking down on Christians and other religious minorities for their peaceful speech. But this case in particular shows how far and how absurd these prosecutions go.

This story is going around again, and while it really happened and is awful, the attack happened back in late August, not recently. People really need to verify things before they share.
🚨BREAKING: Pastor Hills Emmanuel has been found dead in Plateau State, Nigeria. He was abducted Friday with Pastor Gabriel Joseph Dipak while traveling from Jos to Bokkos. Gunmen set a roadblock on the Barkin Ladi–Bokkos road — witnesses said less than a mile from military checkpoints. They pulled the two pastors from a minivan carrying nine people. Emmanuel’s body was found Saturday near the abduction site. He was a former Dunamis pastor and founder of The Wonderful Grace of God Evangelical Ministry in Bokkos. Dipak was still in captivity as of Saturday. The abductors had contacted his family. The same night, other attacks were reported across Plateau. At least four more people were killed in separate incidents in three local government areas. Mainstream media and celebrities won't say a thing about this. Keep praying for the persecuted church!

As people are watching the rising tensions between Ethiopia & Eritrea, it appears that last week at least 6 Orthodox Christians were killed and over 50 kidnapped in the East Arsi Diocese by Oromo extremists. This continues the spate of killings. Praying for these communities 🙏
