🗳️Mayes Concedes to Recorder Heap and Settles, Provides Proof of Citizenship
For four weeks, Attorney General Kris Mayes and County Attorney Rachel Mitchell refused to provide the citizenship verification documentation required by law that Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap requested before reactivating 24 voter records flagged as noncitizens.
Mayes sued and then folded.

Interesting timing for the sudden focus on “black outreach” for AG Mayes!
Where was the outrage when Talonya Adams won her discrimination case involving Katie Hobbs? (Mayes said nothing)
Where was the solidarity when Robert Branscomb, the Arizona Democratic Party’s first Black chair, was being pushed out? Mayes actually joined other top Democrats in publicly declaring they had lost confidence in him. (He was popular among the rank-in-file)
And where is the investigation into allegations surrounding Arizona’s marijuana Social Equity program, a program explicitly sold as an opportunity for communities (black and brown) disproportionately harmed by marijuana prohibition?
But now, heading into an election, black outreach is a priority for Mayes?
Voters deserve more than election-season attention. They deserve answers not gimmicks.
