Beware of increased law enforcement activity in the 13000 block of York Avenue in Poway. You might see and hear our helicopter unit ASTREA making announcements overhead. There is no immediate danger to the public.
Deputies with the Poway Sheriff's Station responded to a report of an altercation around 1:30 p.m. Deputies are speaking with the man inside the house to convince him to surrender peacefully.
York Avenue is closed between Edgemoor Street and Scots Way. Please stay clear of the area. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to resolve the situation.
