I'm Davis Rackler. United States Navy submarine veteran. I served as an ITS on the USS Montana (SSN-794). On a submarine, nothing runs on "trust me." Every system gets checked, logged and verified, because guessing gets people hurt. Then I got out, started betting football, and saw the opposite. Accounts posting screenshots of wins. Deleting losses. "Lock of the week." Nobody showing their work. So, I built what I wanted to use. EdgeDesk is a research workspace for NFL and college football. It prices every game, compares our number to the market, and shows you exactly where they disagree and why. Then it tells you bet, lean, watch or pass. And every lean gets graded against the closing line. Publicly. Losers stay up. I'm not selling picks. I'm building the tool I'd want if I were trying to bet smarter: measurements instead of claims. Built with faith. Run with integrity. Follow for the research. When you want the full board, it's there. Research, not picks. 21+

Detroit (3-0) vs. New York (0-3) tonight. One player could flip EdgeDesk's projected favorite: Ausar Thompson. With Thompson currently questionable, EdgeDesk projects: • Knicks 57% win probability • Fair spread: NY -3.5 • Projected score: NY 110, DET 108 • Fair total: 217.5 The market also has New York -3.5. But here's the interesting part: If Thompson plays, EdgeDesk's availability-adjusted model flips Detroit into the favorite. The Pistons are undefeated, the Knicks are winless, and one injury designation could materially change the matchup. This is why availability matters more than simply looking at records. Research, not picks.

NBA Tuesday: Sacramento Kings (0-3) at San Antonio Spurs (1-2). San Antonio is a heavy favorite, and the matchup numbers explain why. Sacramento has struggled on both ends of the floor to open the season, and injuries have only made things worse. EdgeDesk projects: • Spurs 123, Kings 106 • Fair spread: San Antonio -16.5 • Win probability: Spurs 90% • Fair total: 228.5 Market snapshot: • Spurs -17.5 • Total 230.5 The biggest question isn't whether San Antonio should win. It's whether the Spurs can cover such a massive number. EdgeDesk actually makes Sacramento slightly more competitive than the market does, while projecting a lower-scoring game. A 90%-win probability doesn't automatically mean value at -17.5. Early-season data. Research, not picks. edgedesksports.com

Tuesday night CUSA football, and this one isn't pretty. Sam Houston (1-6) travels to Missouri State (2-5). Two struggling programs, inconsistent offenses, and defenses that have had their share of problems. EdgeDesk projects: • Missouri State 30, Sam Houston 23 • Fair spread: Missouri State -6.5 • Win probability: Missouri State 68% • Fair total: 52.5 Missouri State has the offensive advantage and home field, but after surrendering 61 points to Delaware, how much confidence can you really have? This is exactly the type of matchup where volatility matters. The model favors Missouri State, but that doesn't automatically make it a betting opportunity. Sometimes the best research tells you when to stay away. Research, not picks.

Everyone's posting "I built a whole website with AI in an hour." Cool. Now make it take payments, lock down user data, sync odds every few minutes, and not break at 2am. AI wrote a lot of EdgeDesk's code. It didn't decide what to build, catch the bad data, or make it reliable enough to grade my own picks publicly. Building is easy now. Shipping is still the job. #BuildInPublic #AI #SportsBetting

Toronto only comes through Edmonton once a year, and when they do, Leafs fans from all over Western Canada show up. Don’t be surprised if Rogers Place sounds like a split crowd tonight. On the ice, Edmonton is 8-1-1 and expected to go with Tristan Jarry in net. Toronto hasn’t confirmed a starter yet. If it’s Sergei Bobrovsky, it’s his first trip to Edmonton as a Leaf, after knocking Toronto out of the playoffs in 2023 and 2025. Here’s what my model says: Oilers 60% / Leafs 40%, fair line Oilers -149 DraftKings: Oilers -180 (62%) Total: 6.57 goals vs a market of 6.5 Everyone’s going to like the over tonight. The market already does too, and it’s juiced to -148. My number is only a hair above 6.5, so most of that value is gone. The part of Edmonton’s start I trust least: they’re scoring at 1.11x the league rate. Some of those goals are skill, but some are bounces, and hot finishing tends to cool off.

The Spurs were one bad closing stretch away from a title four months ago. They’re 0-2 now. Opening night against OKC, Wemby had the worst game of his career. Last night they dropped one to Houston, 114-110. Tonight they’re in Dallas for the Mavs’ home opener, and the market still has them laying 12.5 on the road. My model has them at 10.5. Spurs -10.5, total 230.5 DraftKings: Spurs -12.5, total 229.5 That’s 2 points toward Dallas. The biggest driver in my number is player availability, worth 6.2 points toward San Antonio on its own. So the injury report matters more than usual here. And the matchup everyone’s tuning in for: Wemby vs Cooper Flagg. Flagg’s NBA debut was a 10 point night against Wemby. By April he dropped 33 on him. Wemby still had 40 and the Spurs won by 19. Year 2. Home crowd. Let’s see if the gap closed.

College GameDay is in Salt Lake City tonight, and you’re going to hear one word all day: altitude. Houston climbs 4,600 feet to play at Rice-Eccles. Everyone assumes that matters. So I tested it on past games. Result: not proven. My model adds 0 points for it. What does matter: Utah is 6-0 under first-year head coach Morgan Scalley and 10th in the country in EPA per play. They’ve been on fire. But their schedule ranks 121st in FBS. Houston’s ranks 21st, and their only loss is by 2 at Texas Tech. Conner Weigman is 2nd in the country in passing TDs. Devon Dampier threw 2 picks in a 3-point escape against Colorado last week. And one stat nobody’s talking about: Houston is 5-0 all time against Utah. Even with all that, my model likes Utah more than the market does. My model: Utah -8.5, total 55.1 DraftKings: Utah -6.5, total 57.5 Kalshi: Utah 68.5%, I have 71.9% Utah’s passing offense (#19) against Houston’s pass defense (#86) is the gap that drives my number. Not the thin air.

Texas Tech and Cincinnati have played twice in history. A 10-10 tie in 1968 and a 44-41 Tech win in 2024 that ended on a missed Cincy field goal. Today might be the most heated game between two teams that barely know each other. Quick recap of the offseason: Cincy accused Tech of tampering with Brendan Sorsby. Cincy sued him over a $1M NIL exit fee. The NCAA banned him, Tech fought it in court, the Big 12 sued Tech, and Sorsby ended up in the NFL supplemental draft. Tech never got a snap out of it. Cincy got a lawsuit. Now Tech walks into Nippert on Cincy’s homecoming, 6-0 and ranked #8. Here’s what the numbers say about the actual football: Cincy’s whole identity is the run game. 231 yards per game, 11th in the country. Tech’s run defense allows 82 a game, 5th nationally. Strength on strength, and Tech has the edge. Cincy’s defense has given up 1,120 yards in its last two games and is 127th in third down defense. Tech just dropped 53 and 502 yards on Arizona State. My model: Tech -13.5, total 54.5 DraftKings: Tech -11.5, total 57.5 That’s 2 points toward Tech on the side and 3 points lower on the total. The drama is the storyline, but the gap in the trenches is the real story. The reckoning in Cincinnati.

In 2012, Texas A&M walked into Tuscaloosa as a 13.5 point underdog against No. 1 Alabama and won 29-24. Johnny Manziel’s Heisman run basically started that day. Today A&M is +13.5 in that same building again. Same number. Very different team. A&M went 11-2 last year and made the Playoff. This year they’re 4-3 and haven’t scored a single road touchdown. 6 points at LSU. 6 points at Missouri. Marcel Reed is negative EPA per dropback, which means the drive usually gets worse when he throws. Bama isn’t clean either. Two straight losses, 10 points at Tennessee, and their top WR and starting center are banged up. But the Tide defense has 4 pick-sixes this year, and that’s a bad matchup for a QB who’s thrown 6 picks against FBS teams. The history says keep it close. The last 3 meetings were all decided by 8 points or less. The numbers say otherwise. My model: Bama -13.0, total 49.0 DraftKings: Bama -13.5, total 49.5 My number is basically sitting on the market. No edge on the side, a half point lean low on the total. Sometimes the research tells you the line is right, and that’s worth knowing too.

UMass started 4-0 and had people thinking the Minutemen had finally turned a corner. Three straight losses later, reality has hit hard. Now they travel to UConn for a rivalry that's dead even at 38-38-2 all-time. And the biggest question might be who's under center. Starting QB Pop Watson III has been dealing with an ankle injury, leaving UMass with serious uncertainty at the position. Meanwhile, UConn's offense is averaging 35.7 points per game, and the Huskies have had an extra week to prepare. 📊 EdgeDesk Projection: • UConn 34, UMass 18 • Fair Spread: UConn -16.0 • Market: UConn -14.5 • Win Probability: UConn 86% • Fair Total: 53.0 vs. Market 50.5 But don't overlook this: UMass has allowed just 19.1 points per game this season. UConn has the offensive firepower. UMass has shown it can defend. Does UConn pull away by three scores, or can the Minutemen keep another rivalry game close? Research, not picks. edgedesksports.com #CollegeFootball #UMass #UConn

Nearly 2,400 miles apart. Three time zones. Same conference. Welcome to the modern ACC. NC State travels across the country tonight to face Stanford in just the SECOND meeting between these programs in college football history. Their first meeting? NC State demolished Stanford 59-28 in 2024. Now the Wolfpack head west for the first time in this series, with a 10:30 PM ET kickoff that could push their body clocks past 1:30 AM by the fourth quarter. And the statistical mismatch is hard to ignore: • NC State averages 33.0 PPG • Stanford allows 36.6 PPG • NC State converts 51.1% of third downs • Stanford allows 47.8% on third down 📊 EdgeDesk Projection: NC State 30, Stanford 24 Fair Spread: NCSU -5.5 Market: NCSU -6.5 Win Probability: NC State 65% Fair Total: 53.5 NC State has the offensive advantage. Stanford has home field and a chance to avenge a 31-point loss. The question: Can NC State overcome the coast-to-coast travel, or does Stanford turn the late-night kickoff into an advantage? Research, not picks. edgedesksports.com #CollegeFootball #ACC #NCState #Stanford

🛩️Air Force is 5-1. 🤠Wyoming is 4-3. But there's a history behind this Mountain West matchup that the records don't tell you. The home team has won SEVEN straight meetings dating back to 2018. Air Force hasn't won in Laramie since 2012. And tonight? EdgeDesk projects Air Force to win by NINE. 📊 EdgeDesk Model: • Air Force 26, Wyoming 17 • Fair Spread: AF -9.0 • Market: AF -5.5 • Win Probability: AF 73% • Fair Total: 43.0 Here's the mismatch: Air Force averages 343 rushing yards per game, second nationally. Wyoming allows 172 rushing yards per game and ranks 101st against the run. The Falcons have the statistical advantage, but history favors the Cowboys at home. Does Air Force finally end the Laramie drought, or does Wyoming make it eight straight for the home team? Research, not picks.

An ACC Championship rematch with a lot more at stake than the records suggest. Duke took the title from Virginia in OT last December. Tonight, the Cavaliers get their shot at revenge in Charlottesville. But here's where it gets interesting: Duke averages 209.5 rushing yards per game and allows just 16.0 points per contest. Virginia has struggled on third down, converting only 33% of its opportunities. The market favors UVA by 2.5. EdgeDesk sees a near coin flip. 📊 EdgeDesk Projection: • Virginia 25, Duke 24 • Fair Spread: UVA -0.5 • Win Probability: UVA 51% • Fair Total: 49.5 vs. Market 46.5 Duke has the statistical case. Virginia has home field. And our model sees a much tighter matchup than the sportsbook. Is Virginia getting too much credit at home, or is Duke being undervalued? Full research: edgedesksports.com #CollegeFootball #Duke #Virginia #ACC

My model has the Hornets as 9.5-point favorites. The market has them as 1.5-point underdogs. My model is off here, and I know why. It’s still running on last season’s rotations. That Hornets team had LaMelo, Bridges, Coby White and Knueppel. None of them play tonight. But think about what that means for the total. My model lands at 219.5, the same as the market, and that’s with all those guys still in the lineup. Take out the four best scorers on a team that already plays slow, and that number only goes one direction. The model is wrong on the side. It might be underselling the under. Research, not picks.

Being honest about where I’m at. October so far: 47-54, down about $120. The first 12 days I was down $211. Since I locked into singles only, tracking every bet in Juice Reel and only playing what my research backs up, I’m up $92. Not a hot streak. A process. That’s why I built EdgeDesk: to stop guessing and start measuring.

Giannis’s first game in Miami. LaMelo’s first game in Minnesota. The market has this total at 239.5. My model has it at 233.5. That’s a 6-point gap on a game where nobody knows how two brand new star pairings fit yet. Research, not picks. Full breakdown at edgedesksports.com

Same record, same win rate, built completely separately. 49-40-4 ATS on 93 graded games for both of us. Love seeing this on the Collective board. LFG @MustBeMoose 🫎

🏈 CFB TONIGHT: SOUTH ALABAMA @ MARSHALL Tuesday night Sun Belt football, and this matchup is a lot more interesting than the records suggest. South Alabama enters at 4-2, while Marshall sits at 3-3. EdgeDesk gives the Jaguars a slight advantage, but the underlying matchups tell a much bigger story. 📊 EDGEDESK MODEL BREAKDOWN 🏈 Fair Spread: South Alabama -1.0 🎯 Fair Total: 60.0 🔥 Projected Score: USA 31 | MRSH 29 📈 Win Probability: USA 53% | MRSH 47% ✅ Model Reliability: 85/100 Here's where things get interesting. South Alabama holds a 6.5-point neutral-field strength advantage, and its passing offense ranks #35 nationally against Marshall's #126 pass defense. But Marshall has a favorable matchup on the ground, with its #42 rushing offense facing South Alabama's #130 run defense. One team has the advantage through the air. The other has an opportunity to control the ground game. EdgeDesk projects a two-point battle with nearly 60 combined points. This could come down to whichever defense finds a way to get a stop. Tuesday night football might deliver a good one. 👀 Research, not picks. 📈

🏒 NHL TONIGHT: BRUINS @ STARS Boston is riding a five-game winning streak into Dallas, but EdgeDesk sees the Stars having the advantage on home ice. The Bruins enter at 7-2-0, while Dallas sits at 4-3-1. Despite Boston's stronger start, my model gives the Stars a 55% chance to win. 📊 EDGEDESK vs. THE MARKET 🏒 Fair Moneyline: DAL -124 | Market: DAL -170 🎯 Fair Total: 6.0 | Market: 5.5 🔥 Projected Score: DAL 3.2 | BOS 2.9 📈 Expected Goals: 6.11 🔍 Research Grade: C (76/100) Here's where it gets interesting. The market gives Dallas roughly a 60% chance to win after removing the vig, while EdgeDesk has them at just 55%. The model agrees Dallas should be favored, but questions how heavily they're priced. Meanwhile, EdgeDesk projects 6.11 goals against a market total of 5.5. Boston has the momentum. Dallas has home ice. The market has a stronger opinion than the model. 👀

🏀 NBA OPENING NIGHT: THUNDER @ SPURS Oklahoma City heads to San Antonio for an opening-night showdown, and EdgeDesk sees this one going down to the wire. The market has San Antonio favored by 1.5, while my model makes the Spurs 2.5-point favorites with a 54% win probability. 📊 EDGEDESK vs. THE MARKET 🏀 Fair Spread: SA -2.5 | Market: SA -1.5 🎯 Fair Total: 224.5 | Market: 232.5 🔥 Projected Score: SA 113.1 | OKC 111.7 📉 Expected Pace: 99.0 possessions 🔍 Research Grade: C (74/100) The spread is nearly identical, but the total tells a completely different story. EdgeDesk projects 8 fewer points than the market, despite expecting a relatively average pace. That puts offensive efficiency and defensive execution at the center of this matchup. Two Western Conference contenders, a near coin-flip matchup, and an eight-point disagreement on the total. Research, not picks. 📈
