I think Caitlin does a better job covering her team than anyone else.
For people who enjoy good coverage, great coverage of the NBA - you lose something with this. It's an unbelievable shame, how little room this industry has for anyone.

Let me add. I’ve been gone from Twitter for a long while now, but if we worked together and you need an introduction or a reference to find your next thing, or an angel check or VC intro to start your own thing, or just a chat about about a new thing, please do let me know.

Just booked my updated Omicron booster! Click "schedule vaccine" and then COVID-19 vaccine. There'll be an option later to specify that you're booking an Omicron booster. Both Pfizer and Moderna updated boosters are available.

An excellent article by @patrickc highlighting the barriers for academics like myself to develop universal and nasal COVID vaccines. We need government to empower someone to intervene and lift the roadblocks. Funding alone is not enough. Please read & RT👇🏽

Last time I was looking for a job, I Tweeted about it and landed a good gig out of it. Let’s see what the universe has this time.
Know of any companies looking for a front end eng, ui/ux eng (design systems), product eng, or front end leaning full stack eng? Send them my way.

Pfizer's submitted data says 2 doses works for very young kids.
FDA pushing Pfizer to test three doses to get a stronger response for older kids suggest safety isn't the issue.
So why not let parents who want to vaccinate their children, start vaccinating their children?

this tweet is designed to get conservatives moralizing about crime so it conveniently leaves out that 301 of those officers died of COVID.
458 US officers died in the line of duty in 2021, highest since 1930 myfox28columbus.com/news/nat…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This is true, but the Tweet and headline leaves out important context: Over 300 of those deaths were from COVID-19. They count as "in the line of duty" in cases where it is believed that the officers contracted COVID-19 as a result of their job.

To be clear, VP Kamala Harris buying some cookware and refusing to wear Bluetooth to be more secure received more scandal grabbing coverage than a PowerPoint presentation, texts, memos detailing a MAGA GQP plot to overthrow US govt. The difference is black and white.

Remember, if local authorities in Georgia had their way, no one would have ever been charged for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery.
It took weeks of protest before charges were even brought in the case, 74 days after Arbery was shot and killed in February 2020.

What you see in all this, though, is bad policy is supported by bad culture. Watching adult men with children struggle to imagine what a man might do with parental leave, or what parental leave might do for them, is a brutal commentary on fatherhood in America.

Raise your hand if you think it should be mandated that people be vaccinated if they want to fly. 👋✈️
