When you arise in the morning
Think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive
To breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.

53 orangutans have now been rescued from forests devastated by fires in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, and the scale of destruction is horrifying.
More than 48,500 hectares have burned this year. Orangutans are being found starving, injured and desperately searching for food in forests that have been destroyed.
These are critically endangered animals losing the very habitat they depend on to survive. How much wildlife must suffer before protecting forests becomes a priority rather than an afterthought?

Two things that always relax me within a few minutes:
1. Go for a walk
Science behind this: Walking lowere cortisol, releases endorphins and helps shift your nervous system away from “fight or flight.”
2. Have a cup of tea
Science behind this: The simple ritual of making and sipping tea can promote calm, while L-theanine in tea supports relaxation, influences brain neurotransmitters involved in stress and reduced stress response.
In fact, I often do the two together! Walk with my tea ☕️

Eeyore asked Pooh…
“Is it wrong to be happy when someone we loved is no longer with us?”
Pooh replied…
“Oh, Eeyore, you don’t have to stop enjoying life to prove how much you miss a loved one who passed”
Make your life story an honor to the loved ones you’ve lost…
And live.
Grief and joy can live in the same heart.
Love doesn’t end when someone you love passes on…
and neither should living. 🕊️🪽

Death is one of life’s few certainties. We know that every life must eventually end, yet nothing truly prepares us for the moment someone or a pet we love is gone.

Humans want to not lose those we love. It is the greatest hardship of this human life that no one lives forever. We want to be able to have those we love with us until we depart this life. But alas it is not the way of things.

Look at your mother. Look at your father. One day, they will not be here. One day, their voice will just be a memory. Do not wait until they are gone to buy them gifts. Buy them a gift today. Call them today. Sit with them today. Give them their flowers while they can still smell them. The worst kind of pain is the regret of not loving someone enough while they were still here.

Feeling lost overwhelmed or broken is perfectly normal after someone you cherish has passed away.
Their absence cuts deeper than words can express and it’s understandable to wish they were still by your side.
You might also wish things had been different or you had one more moment with them. The weight of this reality can crush you spark anger or leave you numb.
It’s okay to feel these emotions and don’t add shame to your sorrow. You’re allowed to grieve and hurt.
