Of recent, I have noticed a lot of orwaari (noise, kelele), regarding the Sovereignty Bill. Which Sovereignty Bill is the rwaari about? The one I initiated in the Cabinet or another one? The Bill will stop FDIs (Foreign Direct Investments), support for religious bodies from abroad, Remittances from Ugandans working abroad, etc., etc. Really!! That is not the Bill I initiated.

In the new PAYE proposals let MPs be taxed too.
The tax that is really hurting people is PAYE because it is taken directly from their salaries. The money we pay on airtime, water, and other things is not felt as much by people. Now they want to raise PAYE to 40 percentโnearly half of a personโs salary would be taken. MPs do not share in this pain, so there will be less debate about it in Parliament- Hon Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda , MP Kira Municipality
