I favor using a password manager such as Enpass because it allows me to store data in a cloud service of my choice, rather than relying on Bitwarden's own cloud. Given the history of hacks targeting cloud-based password managers, this approach feels more secure to me.

If you want to get at my password files you’re gonna have to break into my NAS and *then* break the encryption. I chose Enpass because they’re one of the few with actual support for WevDAV—enabling you to hold your own damn passwords.

Huge shout out to @EnpassApp. Using for like 10 years now. encrypted passwords stored on your own dropbox/icloud/etc. Clients for every platform. Just perfect.

Just uninstalled @LastPass and replaced it with a local encrypted vault through @EnpassApp. If you use Last Pass & your master password has any structure to it (ie you didn't randomly generate gibberish chars or a long seq of words), then all of your passwords are vulnerable.

The LastPass incident shows how bad of an idea is a cloud based password manager. I prefer to own my vault but the most password managers are pushing the users towards the cloud. @EnpassApp is an exception and my current choice. Give it a spin if you had enough of the cloud.
