The games we've long wanted, which didn't exist because they'd cost several times more to make than they'd earn back, will soon become possible. As will the games developers wanted to build, but couldn't with the resources available. It'll be a new golden age of gaming.
🕵️ Some people will look at reality and say it's a conspiracy by Big Reality to make you think reality is real, smh
🤔 How do you explain the concept of an opinion to someone who has evidently gone their whole life without understanding it ?
🧑🔧 Let me get this straight: if it does what you want, it's a dumb thing that does what you'd expect, otherwise it's a misaligned monster that will take over humanity ?

The question of how to align ASI comes approximately down to “what would I do if I was infinitely smart?”. I don’t trust people who believe that ASI would murder everyone

GPT-6 Astra represents a step-function change in model capability for interactive reasoning problems. It scores 66% on ARC-AGI-3 using our standard harness, and nearly 100% with a continuous conversation harness and custom compaction, at a cost of roughly $360 per game.
In fact, the continuous harness version significantly outperforms our human baseline in action efficiency across almost all levels. When we examined the reasoning chains to understand how the model operates, we found it performing highly efficient, on-the-fly symbolic world modeling for each game and level. It goes as far as developing its own shorthand DSL to represent in-game situations -- essentially a game-specific algebraic notation.
Overall, Astra exhibits symbolic modeling behaviors we had previously only seen with sophisticated harnesses -- so harness capabilities are increasingly shifting into the model itself.
We see Astra as a major breakthrough in model intelligence.

🤔 It seems logical that an advanced civilization that has the power to reboot the universe would want to speed-run the pre-ASI age
🤔 Hey @grok, write a social contract with the universe from first principles, for a bunch of mostly hairless monkeys on a rock hurling around a giant ball of fire through outer space. Something that scales
🤖(🧑🌾🤖🧑🔧) @grok animate this short:
[Salesman] *taps robot* "This bad boy right here is a function approximator. We're gonna teach Robbie to approximate functions better. Ain't that right Robbie ?"
