Here’s the thing about abolishing the 19th, as well, that’s obviously going to annoy liberals, but it’s entirely true: nothing else bad happens except the thing itself. Do you understand what I mean? Obviously, if you took away the right of women to vote, then in the short run some of them would be mad about this. But that’s it. You understand that, right? Nothing else bad happens. When the DSA gets into power and does everything they want to do, then it destroys the country. It immiserates us. It makes us dramatically less safe. It destroys neighborhoods. It destroys the economy. People get their property taken away. People lose their jobs. The only bad thing about women not being allowed to vote is that they feel like this is an injustice per se. So the thing itself is just annoying, but nothing else bad happens. We know this, because we lived for most of our country’s history with women not having the right to vote.
