😟 What happens when Trump right wingers get in power in Latin America & Caribbean: They bankrupt their countries. The now impeached + resigned 🇵🇾 president, Santiago Peña, will likely flee to Miami after bankrupting Paraguayans—and be allowed entry by Trump admin via Marco Rubio

The Trump admin’s Secretary of State Marco Rubio announces additional sanctions on Cuba, focusing on “China-based suppliers” in the specific field of “electronics,” meaning that the US wants to target China’s provisioning of solar power equipment in Cuba:

Who in this “blue wave” is calling for the end of the occupation in Haiti? The end of US weapons, mercenaries and drones in Haiti?
The Trump admin has intervened the most in Latin America and the Caribbean — and I am not seeing effective pressure against the “Donroe Doctrine.”
This is the bare minimum for politicians, newly elected and in office, to be supporting.

Who in this “blue wave” is calling for the US to end the blockade and sanctions regime against Cuba? Who in this “blue wave” is demanding that oil be shipped and allowed into Cuba? Who in this “blue wave” is demanding the release of Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores?
All of these “historic” wins but what is the content or true significance of that history when the Black or brown person has functionally the same politics as their white counterparts? We should see the hollowness of facile representation by now.

Welcome to hope and change 2.0
Brace yourself for more war and Wall Street bailouts.
Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

I would chose communism any day to being a patriot to a white supremacist capitalist empire that murders millions (genocide, enslavement, wars, imperialism, etc).

Conscience or the cost of living, Americans said NO TO WAR, and we endorse this message.
If the US govt betrays their public will to serve international paymasters and blackmailers, it will learn our NO comes with a Nightmare.

I will forever remained convinced that most United States Americans, regardless of their political persuasion, fundamentally believe that their lives are worth more than the others in the world.

Is it not preposterous to people — esp political scientists in the west who extol virtues of nuclear deterrence, non-proliferation, + potential for mutually assured destruction (MAD) — to now openly be drawing up game plans ab US potential nuke usage against a non-nuclear state?

“The world is dependent on Chinese manufacturing, and in some cases, there are no viable alternative suppliers.”
An astonishing revelation from @nytimes. In 2026.
Now that we’ve made this "discovery", perhaps we can finally have an adult conversation about how to manage this reality—rather than pursuing policies that make things worse. 🦉

The political-media establishment has a busy day ahead: whitewashing Zelensky’s torture chambers, downplaying the revelations, and making sure the story disappears from public view.

A torture chamber of Zelensky was uncovered near Kiev, where over 40 mobilised men were held captive by Ukraine's National Guard. The youngest victim was reportedly just 14 years old. There is now great outrage and riots in Ukraine against the henchmen of Zelensky and NATO.
“Defensive in nature”
The US military carried out limited strikes on Iran’s Qeshm Island on Monday, three US officials told CNN, characterizing the action as defensive in nature and meant to protect US assets in the region. cnn.it/4A8Ogjk

#SIAO #BurkinaFaso
