Today the Portsmouth joint Field Gun crew had their first days training.
The morning period was classroom based, while the afternoon period was practical training on the equipment.
Let’s look forward to a challenging Field Gun season ahead. – at Portsmouth, England
Recently, we were fortunate enough to get a tour of HMS Prince of Wales.
Our cadets got to see the Hangar, Flight Deck, Bridge and FLYCO. We would like to thank the ship's company and our guide for hosting us onboard.

Are you ready for an adventure? Join the @VCCcadets as a Royal Naval Cadet or Royal Marines Cadet and start your journey to becoming a confident, capable, and courageous individual!
We were also invited to visit the HMS Queen Elizabeth, the ships company gave our cadets a ships tour and an insight of life onboard a Royal Navy Carrier. The cadets favourite part was definitely the firefighting equipment they said.
Last weekend the VCC Contingent took part in the 2024 Connaught Cup an annual competition of all 5 Cadet Forces to come together and compete against each other. This year the VCC won the Observation Stand.

A fantastic evening at the Admiralty Carol Service with the @FirstSeaLord and the 1SL cadets. A great evening to represent the @VCCcadets & the @RoyalNavy Cadet Forces, alongside the @SeaCadetsUK & @CCFcadet
A fantastic day out with the @FirstSeaLord’s cadets in London before their final event tomorrow. These cadets are brilliant ambassadors for their respective @RoyalNavy cadet forces - @VCCcadets, @SeaCadetsUK & @CCFcadets! #Navycadets ⚓️

Duty is teaching that knives belong in the kitchen, not on the streets.
@CommandoChef hosts free cooking classes through which he helps educate young people about nutrition while advocating against knife crime.

Knife in the Kitchen not on the Street. It’s live now across UK cinemas, shopping centre screens & social media. Let me know what you think, was mega worried putting myself out there like this. 👍 @RoyalNavy @RoyalMarines @RNReserve
A fab second day of the @VCCcadets Initial Staff Training weekend. Our adult #volunteers worked on a range of activities from upskilling as instructors to ways they can support team building within their units! A great weekend and I’m delighted that our unit staff could support!

Delighted to see the first of our new Initial Staff Training weekends under way. With a new Staff Training Team in place and a renewed aspiration to up-skill and develop our unpaid volunteers, it’s great to see this being well supported by my colleagues. BZ to our training team. – at Horton Heath, England
Today was day one of the @VCCcadets first Initial Staff Training weekend. Great to see our adult #volunteers from across the Region getting stuck in to support their learning and development so that, together, we can deliver fantastic #experiences for all of our cadets

Our Armed Forces risked everything to protect us, despite never meeting us.
They passed on the baton: it's now our duty to serve and remember their sacrifices.
#Remembrance
We will remember them.

Its been a busy month for the VCC and our unit! On top of this we hosted our Junior Cadet Leadership Weekend, had cadets complete their @DofE Exped & had cadets and staff participate in the National Trafalgar Day parade! We can't wait for this month & November is already busy!
It's been another hectic and amazing month of activity and achievement across the VCC, including a superb exped to #Cyprus. There's too much to summarise on a single page so here is just a selection of what our inspirational cadets and dedicated adult volunteers have been up to.
