Enzo has hit 22 G/A in all comps for a 2nd season running. An incentive-based wage structure ensures he gets a lower wage next season because almost all his teammates have been below average this season. It is bound to make even an above average player unhappy.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE - Enzo Fernandez is likely to depart #Chelsea this summer. Contract negotiations have failed to progress and the player feels disappointed with “things being done to make him leave” Barring a huge turnaround, he will play his FINAL match this weekend. #CFC

Just wrote an article on Chelsea's approach this transfer window - the team's needs and potential areas of greed. Added a special focus on Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Andrey Santos - three very interesting players who could have big roles to play. expectedchelsea.substack.com…

to me, his insane numbers in the UECL are very reminiscent of Torres in the Europa in 2012. Clearly a player who was once very good and can do it against weak teams, but one whose days at the top level are probably finished, at least in the PL.

I wonder if Chelsea fans nowadays remember when Drogba, Lampard, Anelka, and even Torres used to quibble over who got to take the penalty. Pretty normal, though this is a bit stupider than those cases. (as an added bonus this is exceptionally funny to watch)

Funny how Jackson is on his way to score about the same goals in his first PL season that Osimhen usually scores a season in worse leagues. And Jackson not even in a hot finishing form this season.

Addendum: I think this is the real difference between having an experienced DoF and a gaggle of scouts acting as DoF by committee. A scout looks at Duran and sees talent and potential and wants to buy. A DoF recognises that it's a good player but the situation isn't right

Here's a new way to analyze attackers using box threat, shot quality/quantity and finishing: - Nkunku and Jackson, great #CFC signings. - Balogun has a fantastic profile. Ace numbers. - Openda is a HUGE bargain for #RBL. - Callum Wilson and #NUFC?! Who else catches your eye?

Chelsea are about to spend big money on Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu, beating a host of big clubs to secure the three midfield starlets. Let’s take a look at what each player brings to the table and why their skillsets are in so much demand.

I knew Enzo Fernandez was good but this is RIDICULOUS. Ball-progression, final ball, shooting, tackling, he can do it all. Unbelievable profile.

Here you go. Jorginho 2022/23, compared to other midfielders in the dataset. Not my best effort visually, apologies.

Edson Alvarez vs Ibrahim Sangare 2021/22 - Two midfielders players recently linked to Chelsea. The Mexican is a traditional 6 while the Ivorian acts as a more dynamic 8. Both would be interesting fits on this Chelsea team.

Nobody thinks their signing is a zappacosta signing until they rock up at the Bridge and look like the won a lottery to be there.

Aurelien Tchouameni is liked by #Chelsea but there have been concerns that he could do with another 12 months at AS Monaco to get more experience amid interest this summer. [via @SJohnsonSport]
