The model creates a path toward collecting new observations without relying entirely on one organisation to capture every location. For robotics, mapping, and physical AI, that ability to refresh real - world data could be valuable. A model is only as useful as its relevance to the environment it represents. Distributed capture won’t automatically guarantee complete or up-to-date coverage, but it offers a way to bring more contributors into the process. Building useful spatial intelligence means treating the world as something that must be observed continuously, not captured once and forgotten. 🌍

That creates a potential gameplay loop built around timing, risk, and deciding when to attack or protect. What interests me is how these mechanics could make the world feel connected. A player’s decisions wouldn’t exist in isolation; the strategies of other players could also shape the experience. There’s an important distinction, though: TERA’s Raiders co-op mode is available to explore, while the proposed land-based resource extraction and on-chain payout mechanics are still in development. I’ll be watching how @Tera_Map develops the relationship between competition, defence, and land ownership. A compelling virtual world needs more than valuable land.
