You will never see Ugandans talk this way if these two estranged lovers had pitched camp at the son's soccer academy or a music concert where the son doesn't perform to their expectations in these activities. We only talk that way in regards to academics.
This time last year, two estranged lovers pitched camp at the school of their first born in one of the posh city schools as the boy sat his PLE. All this in the name of morale boosting their son. The mother always came in the evening after the evening paper with her new boyfriend in tow. The father always turned up with a heavy pack of take away and milkshake. The boy, who was all the while a good pupil got 15 aggregates. The school attributes his failure to the parents who never allowed him to be.
