A new @pymnts and @VisaAcceptance study surveyed 5,241 consumers and found:

→ 35% would give it their saved payment details.
→ 52% want to choose how a $300 purchase gets paid.

Every 4 hours it checks the market, pays for its own data, decides, and writes down why. Every 15 minutes it checks what it holds. Nobody has to approve its trades.
Here's the setup, in three steps ↓
Step 1: connect.
Agent Wallet is an MCP server. You can easily add it as a connector in Claude, attach it to a Claude Code routine, and the agent can check balances, pay for data and swap from its own wallet.
Keys are only ever used inside an AWS Nitro enclave. The agent never sees them.
Step 2: fund it.
Copy the address from your dashboard and send some stables to trade.
We gave ours $100 on @BNBCHAIN to trade with, plus a few dollars on @Base to pay @Nansen_ai and @CoinGecko per call over x402. No API keys anywhere.
Step 3: the rules.

Agents will end up carrying passports. A cryptographic identity, a mandate saying who sent them and what they are allowed to do, and a wallet that proves they can pay.
Our CTO wrote that in August. Last week Visa, Mastercard and Ant International announced it, and called it Know Your Agent.
None of it reaches most merchants. Their perimeter returns a 403 to anything that does not look human, long before checkout.
We found this by watching our own agents get blocked at our own edge, and nothing was broken. The rules were doing exactly what we built them to do.
Verified identity does not help a request that never arrives.

Five things your AI agent can do with its own wallet:
1. Pay per API call. No monthly plan, no shared key. It pays for exactly what it uses, with x402.
2. Run on a budget you set. Fund it with $5 or $500. That balance is the hard limit. It spends what it has and stops.
3. Swap and earn on its own. Move into USDC, deploy idle funds to a yield vault, rebalance. No human clicking approve each time.
4. Pay real merchants. Anything that accepts stablecoins, not just APIs, settled instantly on-chain.
5. Keep its own books. Every payment is on-chain, so the full record of what it spent and earned is verifiable.
