You know how some outfits just make you feel fly; you walk a little taller, your shoulders pull back, and your confidence suddenly clicks into place?
You start seeing yourself differently and even acting differently, all because of what you’re wearing.
And you might wonder, how can clothes do that? It’s more than just fabric, it’s the meaning and feeling we attach to them.
In this article by @DeborahKester, we talk about how the emotions and ideas behind what we wear can quietly shape how we feel and behave while wearing them.
Have you heard of the Dopamine Dressing Effect before?
Beyond glamour, fashion is deeper than we think. Just like fashion is art. Fashion is also psychology.
In this article, we spoke about the connection between psychology and fashion.

3 years later, and we’re still on the mission to bridge the gap between the rough diamonds of marginalized communities and the fashion industry, whilst eliminating fashion inequalities.

IMAGINE A WORLD WHERE FASHION IS FOR EVERYONE. 🌍
A world where there’s;
🌍 no social inequality amongst students when they wear their school uniforms.
🌍 no economic disparity to make adults compare and feel less of themselves.
🌍 no gender inequality when it comes to work…
…pay and opportunities, because women are bold and confident about the work they do.
🌍 no cultural misrepresentation/misappropriation by the western world.
According to the UN, one in six people globally, are discriminated based on age, gender, religion, race, or belief.
And 7% discriminated on the ground of social origin or socio-economic status.
Now, the question is, what if we change the numbers with fashion?
This is what we do at FROM SLUM TO RUNWAY AFRICA.
