I now completely understand why dogs are considered to be haram in Islam.
They considerably reduce the odds of rape.

Atwood was inspired to write The Handmaid's Tale in reaction to Islamists abusing women in the Iranian revolution but she was a good shitlib who knew she'd be blacklisted if she made Islamists the villains so she put it all on Christians instead.

This is a useful phrase. Worth thinking about.
You need to be profiling. No need to be neurotic, but recalibrate your human instincts - particularly if you spend 90% of your day in 'The Middle Class Abstraction World.'
Included simple suggestions on this in pinned guide.

El Sayed and Mamdani won because they effendimaxxed. The affable Mohammedan gentilhomme. No “clapbacks”, no diasporism, no activist rants dripping with ressentiment and incivility. Affable, charismatic, large in spirit, cosmopolitan — a dash of cunning and sleaze. Effendimaxxing

You're telling me that one of Bitcoin's biggest haters, who spent a decade crowing that we were all going to lose our money... is a failed banker who lost all of his clients' money?

Forest Finns were ethnically cleansed in Scandinavia through displacement and executions.
Their farms and property were destroyed under Queen Christina of Sweden. A proclamation by the Fryksdal Hundred assembly in 1646 ordered the burning of houses and the targeting of Finns who refused to learn Swedish and wanted to keep speaking their own language.
Thousands of Forest Finns were forcibly sent or pressured into migrating to the New World during the 17th century. They became a foundational population in New Sweden — 'Nya Sverige'; a short-lived colony established in 1638 along the Delaware River valley, encompassing modern-day Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland.
When Sweden first launched the colony, very few ethnic Swedes wanted to move to the rugged American wilderness. To populate the colony, the Swedish Crown turned to the Forest Finns, who were already being actively criminalized for practicing slash-and-burn farming on their own lands.
The Swedish Crown weaponized colonization both to clear out the "troublesome" Forest Finns from Scandinavian woodlands and to exploit their unique skills to build its "American empire."
The now-iconic "American" log cabin was not an English invention. It was based upon the classic Finno-Karelian smoke cabins — the Savupirtti — and introduced to North America by the Forest Finns, who brought their expert woodshaping and logbuilding traditions to the Delaware Valley.

my friend’s dad always sings this song about a fox during their thanksgiving singalong and i looked it up and found out it is in fact one of the only secular songs that has been continually performed/transmitted in the folk tradition since the middle ages??

The sanguine, Adult-in-the-Room, "you win some you lose some, things come and go, we'll be back, we always are, nothing's permanent" attitude is a luxury belief that only makes sense in an ethnically, culturally homogenous society, btw

I wish people would stop gesturing towards the judgement of future historians. It’s far more dire than that. What civilization do you suppose created the discipline of history? There will be no history in the future.

If I worked in advertising and was utterly fed up with the command to feature yet one more mixed raced couple, and decided to subvert the entire project by turning it into an anti-miscegenation polemic...
... this is the ad I would create.
