Be aware … this is just another UN policy being implemented in Britain under Labour. charities can now apply to sponsor ‘refugees’ to settle in Britain. The UN’s 2018 Global Compact on Refugees, explicitly promotes community sponsorship, education and employment pathways… exactly what Labour had announced. They are just doing as they are told ‼️

I don’t think this has had the press coverage it deserves. It is insane. The right to decide who enters Britain belongs to the British state, not to whichever charity has the Home Office’s ear. The opportunities for favouritism, nepotism and corruption are obvious. A well-connected individual with well-placed supporters will secure nomination over others facing greater persecution. Dodgy intermediaries may well demand money from families seeking sponsorship. Charities could become vehicles for bringing over relatives, associates or even political allies. It risks creating an entire system of private patronage. I go into all this in more detail here: thecritic.co.uk/labours-gold…
From today, charities can apply to sponsor refugees through new, capped Named Community Sponsorship and Refugee study safe and legal routes. Sponsors will provide accommodation, integration support and help finding work. First arrivals are expected in autumn 2027.

Very obvious what Andy Burnham's tactic will be now. He'll pop up next year and say "I didn't want to have to call an early election. But these issues - defence, welfare reform, social care - are too big to put off any longer. I need a mandate to tackle them".

This video is just devastating for Labour. It couldn't be worse for Andy Burnham, than a northern piemaker destroying their budget - straight down the camera lens, clearly and passionately. Support British businesses, and get some pies from this fella - bowenpies.co.uk/

The current chancellor has NEVER had a job outside of a union or the Labour party. Let that sink in for a minute.... He is 66 and has never had a proper job! Anyone surprised that his budget was useless?

Fair question. And it raises another issue. It's not just that Labour is now putting welfare ahead of defence. With Healey's latest statement, they're putting welfare before many other priorities. Education. Health. Policing. The welfare budget has effectively been ring fenced.
So how on earth are Labour going to pay for 3% on Defence?

"As soon as we possibly can" was yesterday Prime Minister, in the budget. You had the chance but you chose to do NOTHING. No one is buying this.

🚨London 2026. Full burqa driving the 88 bus to Parliament Hill Fields. She can barely see the road. She can barely be identified in an emergency. And she has a double-decker full of strangers whose lives depend on her reaction time. Passengers don’t get a vote on whether they want a faceless driver. They just have to hope nothing goes wrong. If your religious practice requires completely covering your face and restricting your vision, you are free to do that in your private life. You are not free to do it while operating a public vehicle that weighs several tons and carries dozens of people. This is not “diversity.” This is a safety failure dressed up as tolerance. And everyone on that bus is paying for it.

This affects everyone
🚨 INFLATION IS MAKING YOU POORER WHILE THE GOVERNMENT COLLECTS MORE TAX! Get a 4% pay rise to match 4% inflation? ❌ Your take-home pay rises just 3.4%. 💰 Your income tax and NI bill rises 6.3%. YOU lose purchasing power. THE TREASURY collects more. That's fiscal drag. 👇

By next April the minimum wage will be wage up ~61% since 2019. Productivity for those workers is up 2.4%. Pay that outruns economic output gets passed on in prices, and higher prices fuel the next pay demand. That's how a wage-price spiral starts. Labour keeps hiking anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️

There's a reason why this Labour party is more dangerous to the economy that most: 🚨It's stuffed full of far-left activists, who've never had a real job and don't understand economics; & 🚨They hide behind a plausible, but totally out-of-his-depth, leader. newspaper.mailplus.co.uk/dat…

Andrew Neil on the freeze in tax thresholds: “It’s the biggest tax rise in British history and politicians love it because they think we won’t notice.” We now have the highest tax burden in history and yet Labour are borrowing more than ever. We have a sclerotic EU-style high cost, high-tax, high-regulation economy. The exact opposite of what need. Another lost decade of stagnation is in prospect. @afneil

This young criminal stabbed a girl 10 times after she rejected him. The judge called him a “bright lad” and said custody was “the last place” for him. So he received a 12-month referral order. No. This violent thug belongs behind bars.
