The final episode of Blackadder Goes Forth, titled "Goodbyeee," originally aired on BBC1 on November 2, 1989. It is famous for its sudden, tragic shift from biting sitcom satire to a somber portrayal of the First World War. #RemembranceSunday #lestweforget #Blackadder Vid: BlackadderQuotes

Bloody well said by Labour peer Lord Glasman. Parents not buying a troubled teenage girl a breast binder isn’t conversion, it’s deep concern about her health. Good to see Labour Parliamentarians on the pitch on this
Replying to @SexMattersOrg
Lord Glasman said “Putting parents at risk of prosecution for trying to protect their children is something no Labour government should even consider.”

Talcum X admitting, without a qualm, that he overlooked RB being a sexual predator & vile misogynist, 4 the 'greater good' of leftist causes is different, IMO, than one day discovering it & still liking him. Women didn't matter, blokish socialism did. Same old. teapawt.net/owenjonesjourno/status…
I've met Russell Brand twice (I think): Once when I hosted a Guardian Live event about his book in 2014. Another time I interviewed him for The Big Issue when I was guest editing in 2015. He also gave my publishers an endorsement for my book The Establishment, which I was mortified about at the time mostly because I thought it was so OTT it would obviously invite ridicule (which it did). At the time I saw him as a crude means to reach disillusioned younger people with left-wing politics - the sort of people who wouldn't be reached by conventional left-wing journalists and politicians. As a result I was willing to overlook, or just not look into, his history of problematic behaviour / statements, including sexism. I convinced myself that he was on some sort of journey and that was a good thing. That was an obvious misjudgement. I did think he was a bit of a chancer / had a messianic complex, but overlooked that too as a necessary evil in reaching disengaged people. But that was clearly his main driving force and he clearly ended up concluding that right-wing politics was a better vehicle to satisfy it. It's an important lesson in not stupidly engaging clearly problematic figures, however charismatic or however much mass appeal they have, in the service of a cause. What I would say is that right now we should be centring the survivors of a rapist and sexual predator. I personally don't really think those trying to point score have his survivors' interests at heart. I would also argue that those with the big questions to answer are the right-wing figures who continue to stand by him and spread conspiratorial nonsense in his defence. Finally, let's hope that other possible survivors of Russell Brand feel able to come forward.

Talcum X is on here lecturing everyone to stop pointing the finger at all the Guardian/leftist dudebros for buying into the Brand grift, and to instead focus on the victims of rape and sexual assault. Does this include victims of Karen White, Alexandra Stewart, and Paris Green?

So in summary: you want all women's single-sex spaces and services taken away to accommodate men who claim their 'gender identity feels different from what [their] body is.' You can't explain what a gender identity is, or explain what it means to 'feel' female, as opposed to being female, but you still think society should reconfigure itself around an unfalsifiable concept that cannot be objectively observed or proven, in spite of the well-evidenced risk to women and girls this poses.

🇪🇺 I spent ten years with the Greens and three decades in progressive politics and civil society. What made me speak out against gender identity policies were the extreme demands and the vicious campaigns against those who dared to question them. As a politician, I felt I had the responsibility and the opportunity to make a difference.

Funny how so many righteous men who didn't see Brand as a walking red flag a decade ago still managed to be highly sensitive to all the 'dogwhistle hate' in the feminist speech of the time

Minor in scheme of things. But had to "apologise" to Brand who threatened me with lawyers at Guardian in 2014. The correction read "This article was amended on 31 October 2014. An earlier version said 'A lot of what he says is ghostwritten sub-Chomskyian woo'. This has been corrected."

That ‘right side of history again.’ AKA ‘the best route to young voters.’ Hmmm.
Must be nice over there on the right side of history.

Stonewall's grubby finger prints are all over the tyrannical conversion bill. The fact they still enjoy government access despite consistently misrepresenting the law and pushing for mad gender nonsense is frankly appalling. telegraph.co.uk/gift/8acf1db…

This account by @DanNeidle of Russell Brand's use of an injunction to silence (and bankrupt) a woman who accused him of assaulting her is shocking. She wasn't even allowed to talk about it to the police or to medics other than named individuals. taxpolicy.org.uk/2026/11/07/…

Happy days at Guardian Towers. Remind me, which columnists did Kath Viner drive out of the paper? Talcum X? Russell the Rapist? Oh, I remember now. It was the feminists. All three of us:

Perhaps the most depressing thing about “gender identity” doctrine is that it has given people who consider themselves “progressive” license to be openly contemptuous about the rights of women and girls, and of homosexual women and men. They clearly enjoy it, and their glee is a ghastly spectacle.

What a bizarre comment to make: “the rights of women and girls must not be confused w/ women’s safeguarding” If that’s @Plaid_Cymru policy, that explains a lot about the Party of Misogyny
🤯 Plaid Cymru is openly admitting that protecting women's & girls' rights doesn't align the party's values 🚨 A Plaid MS was allegedly bullied by party staffers into quitting a group focusing on this important topic! 👇 They don't care about protecting women and girls

I love picking on British food, ALMOST as much as I love Britain.🇬🇧 I love living here. I love the NHS. I love that there are no school shootings. I love that no child has been 'stranger danger' kidnapped in my town in recorded history. I wish Britain loved itself more, lately.

Labour’s trans law is a disaster for young girls @suzanne_moore in @Telegraph "...NHS England is spending £6.5m a year on “trans mastectomies”: the cutting off of the healthy breast tissue of women who identify as men. There has been a 52 per cent increase in these operations since 2023. This is obscene. And so is this bill. It is clear that most Labour MPs do not understand it, as it fundamentally brings the state into family life in a way that no one is asking for. It is both authoritarian and unworkable." 🎯 telegraph.co.uk/gift/0812e53…
