What you're witnessing in these videos demonstrates the complexity of the origins of Breaking. Such a nuanced topic cannot be simplified to statements like, “Foundational Black America created hip hop, NO ONE ELSE.” Such oversimplification does not do justice to the rich history and evolution of Breaking. People who say that are taking a machete to a topic requiring a scalpel to dissect and examine. Breaking does not stem from a single race of people and it’s the racial hubris I've been a witness to on behalf of grifters like @tariqnasheed and xenophobes like @lordjamar that's causing the current division in Hip-Hop culture. Breaking, like every other element in Hip-Hop, evolved through a complex interplay among multiple ethnicities and cultures. Originality in Hip-Hop is rare, but its ability to reinvent existing elements makes the art form accessible to any race or creed looking to experience their interpretation of what's already been created.  Sincerely, Rob Swift
