Tearjerker, please retweet to help Errol find a home after abuse #MANCHESTER #WIGAN #UK 'When he first arrived with us we were aware that he had one deformed leg that required attention. We booked him in for X-rays with our vet and were horrified to discover that Errol was suffering from fractures in all 4 of his legs!💔 It is just heart breaking to imagine what this poor boy must have endured before coming to us, yet his enthusiasm for life is nothing short of remarkable. In December 2023 Errol underwent surgery to fix his most damaged leg but unfortunately this could not be saved and had to be amputated to alleviate his ongoing pain. He’s spent some time recovering in a foster home and has really wowed us with how well he has adapted to life on 3 legs. He never stops smiling and is such a happy little soul who bursts with happiness as the smallest things! Aged 9, Errol is a very sweet boy but he has some deep rooted trauma which causes him to react defensively, particularly towards visitors to the home who he does not have an established relationship with. We believe that this is triggered by his past, he struggles to trust and anticipates he will be treated unkindly. We feel that Errol is best suited to living with one person whom he can form a close bond with, he absolutely adores his foster mum and is the sweetest, loving boy with her. He will need a very understanding owner in a quiet, adult only home. Errol can struggle with separation anxiety so a home with someone around for most of the day is essential. Errol mixes well with other dogs but he does prefer his own space and for this reason we do feel he would be best suited to a home where he can be the only dog, however we would consider a home with another dog if the owner is experienced. Errol cannot live with cats or small animals. Please note that Errol is still under veterinary care and may require further surgeries which will be covered by the rescue, however due to this we will be looking for a home within the Manchester/Wigan area'. - Dogs For Rescue DETAILS or APPLY👇 dogs4rescue.co.uk/our-dogs/e… #dogs #pets #AdoptDontShop #Cheshire
