Finally out - how good are different surfaces at deactivating SARS-CoV-2 viruses? Copper beats them almost all - except cuprous oxide (Cu₂O). Question is - why? Read more at doi.org/10.1128/aem.01553-23. Great collaboration across CDQM (cdqm.uk) and School of Biology.

Flyer for Science Discovery Day 2023, on Saturday 25 March, 10:30 - 16:00. Admission is free, and location is the School of Physics and Astronomy, North Haugh, St Andrews. There will be science games, demo lectures, lab tours, and the chance to talk with scientists about their work. The physics café will also be open. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
