Very sad to learn today that Lee Shulman, who, among many huge accomplishments, invented the idea of pedagogical content knowledge, has just passed away. I fondly remember our sold-out joint dialogue with students & faculty at @HKUniversity in 2018. A great loss. @pasi_sahlberg

The Finger Lakes takes in 6K tons of trash a day at the Seneca Meadows landfill and 3.5K tons a day at High Acres, plus 2K tons a day at Mill Seat. That's a total of 11.5K tons a day -- the most trash of anywhere in the country by some 2.5K tons a day.
