🚨 81.6% of all "public" land mobilised for investment by Morocco between 2024 and mid-2026 was in occupied #WesternSahara, a territory Morocco has no sovereignty over and no right to allocate land in.

Save the Children International published a statement on Thursday evening, which said:
\- The evacuation of children from Gaza for medical treatment has declined by 75% compared with the first year of the war.
\- Around 21,000 people, a quarter of them children, are still awaiting medical evacuation, according to Gaza's Ministry of Health.
\- The organization supports a safe space for Palestinian children in Cairo, known as “Little Gaza.” However, threatened funding could force it to close next year, while its waiting list stands at nearly 5,000 people.
\- Since the start of the war, 18,000 Palestinians in Egypt have received support from the organization. Among those contacting its helpline, 93% cannot meet their basic needs, 75% of families have no income, and 90% have no savings.

Last month the UK Government banned the promotion of illegal settlements and committed to sanctioning those who support or profit from illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territory.
Next week Israeli companies guilty of ethnic cleansing will be platformed at @WTM_London.
The UK government must now turn their words into action: enforce these commitments and ensure those complicit in illegal occupation and settlements face real consequences.

🚨 Israeli strike destroys Gaza school educating 350 children
An overnight Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the Saftawi area of Jabaliya, northern Gaza, destroyed the nearby Al-Zahraa makeshift tent school, which provided free education to approximately 350 children, as well as the Little Smile Kindergarten. The strike also damaged a camp sheltering displaced Palestinian families.
“All the desks and educational tents were destroyed. Even the stationery we had for students and teachers was ruined,” Mousa Zaqout, a teacher, told Drop Site’s Abdel Qader Sabbah. He said the volunteer-run school provided free education to children from the camp and surrounding areas.
“There is no ceasefire or anything like that on the ground,” Zaqout added. “Every hour, every moment, there is bombing and destruction.”
Gaza’s Ministry of Education condemned the destruction of the two educational facilities, describing Israel’s continued targeting of schools as part of a systematic destruction of education in Gaza.

I can hardly imagine anyone who hasn’t seen this photograph. But it was taken on this day in 2000.
I cannot believe the photo is 26 years old now.
The boy in the photograph was Fares Odeh. He was just 14 years old.
Ten days after this image was captured, Fares went out again to throw stones at Israeli tanks, seeking to avenge the killing of his 17-year-old cousin.
An Israeli sniper shot him in the neck, killing him.
And there is another chilling detail to this photograph.
The photo changed Israeli tank doctrine. In August 2001, The Jerusalem Post quoted an anonymous tank doctrinist saying tank personnel were now instructed to fire upon rock-throwers.
