Every preventable maternal and neonatal death is a call to do better.
Earlier today, I joined the IMPROVECare Study team to explore how evidence, research and stronger health systems can translate into safer childbirth and better outcomes.

@KmpdcOfficial notifies all postgraduate medical and dental trainees that there are two distinct licence categories prior to specialist recognition:
• Registrar Licence – issued during the training period
• Senior Registrar Licence – issued for the mandatory two-year post-training period
Holders of either licence are not recognised as specialists or consultants until the Council grants formal specialist recognition in accordance with Rule 5(1)(e)–(f) and Rule 11 of the Medical Practitioners and Dentists (Inspections and Licensing) Rules, 2022.
Misrepresentation of status is an offence.

Kenya has reaffirmed its commitment to quality healthcare training following joint inspections of dentistry schools by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) and the Commission for University Education (CUE). Conducted ahead of the East African Community's regional evaluation, the inspections assessed institutions against regional standards. The exercise also promoted accountability and continuous improvement in health professions education. #K24Updates
