This is happening once again now that players are immediately calling for a ban because somebody brought an annoying tech that dares to disrupt the railroad of your 5+ attack plan
This is why the cfv devs are so afraid to design Cards

The outcry for banning one of the few interesting cards in the game in Tazer Lage is both hilarious and legitimately pathetic.
Especially while cards like Fairoid and Ghost Chase, that do the SAME thing as ones Bushi already deemed banworthy, are mysteriously forgotten about.

One thing that makes the debate make a lot more sense is that u quickly realize literally nobody but magic players build their own decks anymore. Half of decks in other tags might as well be pre-built and the other half are made by ppl whose primary tcg is still magic

Star-vader, Bad Spiral Dragon
Brandt Gate - <Cyber Dragon>
"The invader of former days. The meaning of that name is changing."
[AUTO]:When this card is discarded from your hand during your turn, if you have a vanguard with "Star-vader" in its card name, look at the top 7 cards of your deck, choose up to 1 card with "Star-vader" in its card name from among them, reveal it and add it to your hand, and shuffle your deck.
[ACT][Drop]:If you have a grade 3 or greater vanguard with "Star-vader" in its card name and your opponent has 1 locked card or less, COST [bind this card], choose up to 1 unit card from your opponent's drop, and your opponent calls that card to (RC). [AUTO] abilities of your opponent's cards do not activate from that call. {Including other cards that look for such calls}

Dz17 was a huge step down but I still think the fantome era was a huge win as a whole.
Sad the last dz set went this way.
