Ever wondered what a truly decentralized internet would look like? Meet Freenet. 🌐
Freenet is a mature peer-to-peer network that lets you run apps (messaging, file sharing, collaboration, etc.) without any central servers — completely resistant to censorship and shutdowns.
🔹Your computer becomes part of the network
🔹Fully encrypted and distributed storage & communication
🔹No Big Tech, no tracking, no single point of failure
🔹Built for freedom and resilience
In a world where governments and corporations are tightening control over the internet, projects like Freenet are more relevant than ever.

What do you think?
🔹Had you heard of Freenet before?
🔹Would you run a node to help build a freer internet?
🔹Which decentralized project do you trust the most (Freenet, Tor, I2P, Nostr…)?

Europe is not going in a good direction.
Fortunately @FreenetOrg will be much harder to ban than a conventional VPN because it’s decentralized. No provider, no servers, no chokepoint.
