Always wondered “how strong” a MRI magnet is. Pretty good demonstration.
NEW: A 61-year-old man has sadly passed away after he was sucked into an MRI machine on Long Island.
The man was reportedly wearing a large metal chain and was pulled into the machine.
According to ABC, the man was not a patient but walked into the MRI room while a scan was in progress.
The police say the man was at the hospital with someone else. He was sucked into the machine due to his large metal chain, and later passed away.
"If this was a chain that was wrapped around the neck, I could imagine any kind of strangulation injuries that could happen, asphyxiation, cervical spine injuries if the patient was slammed against the MRI, you know, any kind of blunt force trauma that we can think about could happen," said Dr. Payal Sud.
Authorities are currently investigating.
I had a task to create some offshore boat parts, specifically exhaust outlet “wedges”. Target withholding temperature 200°-250° F, all via my 3D printer.
Only problem was, my A1 from Bambu labs, shouldn’t be able to print this from the manufacturers specs….. or should they?
Using PA6-CF20 as the medium. Hardened .4mm nozzle off of scam-azon and a home made enclose made from a TV box. Took a total of 12+ hours to make 6 pieces, and another 10 are on the way for annealing, then another 48 at relative humidity for “wet” conditioning.
