I know it’s a strong word to use but the only word that can describe this is treason. Nobody voted for this.

If you have the time, read this and look closely at the pictures. This is fascinating. My estimation of Arbeloa is increasing, well drilled team, top coaching #ffc
🚨 Álvaro Arbeloa and Fulham have been heavily criticised this season. My opinion is the exact opposite of the common consensus. I believe that he has the potential to be the next ELITE coach in the sport. Below, in an in-depth tactical thread, I break down why… THREAD! 👇

FT 1-1 First half Villa's, second half mostly Fulham. Not a chance Fulham struggle this season, seeds are there for a good young side in the making, creative, pacey, controlling. Tactically, Arbaloa got the second half spot on, always had a spare man. Villa's issue was midfield legs second half and couldn't string passages of play together to create anything regularly, easily turned over which Fulham pounced on. To the Camp Nou.

This #BeatLukeLittler only confirms one thing. A Royal Rumble of darts would be sensational TV. Same rules, one leg 501. 30 players, Winner stays on. As soon as the leg is over a 10 second countdown starts and the next players music starts and walks out. We don’t know who is in it, old players new players. Imagine all of a sudden Phil Taylor’s music starts to play… Would be amazing TV.

For the Westminster bubble, Campbell getting challenged on BBC Question Time is treated like political pantomime and studio theatre. For those who lived through the consequences of the 2003 invasion, there is nothing entertaining about it. One hundred and seventy-nine British service personnel came home from Iraq in flag-draped coffins. Thousands more returned with shattered limbs, catastrophic brain injuries, and minds destroyed by blast trauma. While New Labour spin doctors were massaged in Downing Street corridors and redrafted intelligence dossiers to manufacture a pretext for war, young British soldiers were sent into meat grinders like the siege of CIMIC House in Al-Amarah and the streets of Basra—patrolling in lightly armoured "Snatch" Land Rovers that ministers knew were death traps against shaped IEDs. From the desert wastes of Iraq to the legendary brotherhood of the SAS—where British and Commonwealth operators like New Zealanders in 22 SAS fought and bled shoulder to shoulder, from the harrowing evasion of Bravo Two Zero to black-ops counter-terror raids in Baghdad—our soldiers fulfilled their oath with unmatched courage. They fought for the man on their left and the man on their right. They did not die for corporate reconstruction contracts, Downing Street vanity, or Blairite messianism. For over twenty years, Alastair Campbell has enjoyed lucrative book deals, fawning media platforms, and podcast respectability lecturing the country on "integrity in public life". Calling him to account on live television isn’t a political stunt. It is the absolute bare minimum owed to 179 dead British troops, their grieving families, and the generational destruction unleashed in our name. @ZiaYusufUK said to his face what millions of veterans and citizens have wanted said for two decades. #bbcqt

Firstly, props to this guy for not pulling his punches. Worth the watch. Any civilised society is built on the back of people like this. And if he does well, sells more pies, opens more pie shops, employs more staff, then everyone wins. But clearly, this government isn’t interested in that. They want to squeeze businesses like this for every last penny of tax revenue. It’s prophetic in some ways, you can choose to grow the pie or take an increasingly smaller slice of the same one. One leads to abundance, the other to ruin.
Utterly heartbreaking. A must watch.

How the fu*k is anyone earning minimum wage, or anything close to it, in the UK meant to afford living alone? The numbers simply don't add up. You can work 40 hours a week and bring home around £1,700 a month after tax, National Insurance and pension contributions. Then you're looking at £800 for rent, £120 in council tax, £350 on household bills and another £300 just to feed yourself. That's your entire monthly wage gone before you've even covered travel, your phone bill or an unexpected expense. No savings. No financial security. No money left to actually enjoy your life. Yet we're expected to celebrate every time minimum wage increases. But what's the point of a pay rise when you're still struggling to afford the basics? At what point are we going to admit that something has gone seriously wrong in this country?

This is truly an insult from Andy Burnham. Labour are doing this as a distraction. While the country talks about gherkins, they’re not talking about the fact Labour have lost control of the economy and public finances. Don’t let Andy Burnham and Labour deceive you.
'Your own figures says that will save the average household 40p a week' Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds was questioned on #BBCBreakfast about plans to remove import taxes on marmalade, gherkins and more than 100 products in a move aimed at giving families "breathing space" with the cost of living bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c6d9…

Britain’s new minimum wage: £27,456 a year. Higher-rate income tax kicks in at £50,270. Wage compression the Soviet Union could only have dreamed of.
🚨 NEW: John Healey will increase the minimum wage for over 21s from £12.71 to around £13.20

Macron has lost the plot. Sadly, it’s anything but the first time.
« Ce qui s’est passé aujourd’hui c’est un tournant. C’est la première fois qu’il y a un acte terroriste planifié pour tuer nos compatriotes, nos enfants, a raison de leur couleur de peau ou de la religion qu’on leur donne » « Ne baissez pas la tête » Emmanuel Macron à Trappes.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
