Why are men always spitting? I never see women just spit on the ground for no reason.

I had been sleeping with my wife’s mother for almost a year, and I thought we had gotten away with it. Then, on my daughter’s birthday, my wife stood up in front of our entire family and asked her mother one question that made everyone go silent.
My wife, Vanessa, trusted me completely. She often left our daughter with her mother whenever she had errands to run, and I was always the one who went to pick her up.
That was how it started.
One afternoon, I arrived early to collect my daughter, and my mother-in-law and I crossed a line we should never have crossed.
We both regretted it, or at least that’s what we told ourselves.
But a few weeks later, it happened again.
Before long, we were secretly meeting whenever my wife was busy or away.
I knew I was risking my marriage, my family, and my daughter’s future. But every time I tried to end it, my mother-in-law found a reason to contact me again.
Then came my daughter’s seventh birthday.
We were all gathered in our living room when my wife suddenly asked everyone to sit down.
She looked at me, then at her mother.
“I found the messages,” she said.
My stomach dropped.
Her mother immediately started crying and insisted that my wife had misunderstood what she had seen.
My wife didn’t argue.
She simply asked her mother, “How long were you planning to keep this from me?”
I stood up and begged my wife to let me explain, but she raised her hand and told me to sit down.
Then she turned to her mother and asked:
“Did you tell him why you were so desperate to get close to my husband?”
I looked at my mother-in-law.
For the first time in almost a year, she wouldn’t look me in the eyes.
My wife wiped her tears and revealed that her mother had contacted her weeks earlier, claiming she had something important to confess.
But before she could finish explaining, her mother suddenly shouted:
“Don’t you dare tell him what happened before you got married!”
My wife went completely silent.
Then she looked at me and said:
“There’s something about my past that my mother has been hiding from me my entire life. And now I think you deserve to know it, too.”

What detachment means to a man vs a woman
Men
•He stops chasing — He no longer begs for attention or validation.
•He focuses on himself — He prioritizes his peace, goals, and growth.
•He accepts the outcome — He lets go instead of forcing someone to stay.
