If you look deep, PSG struggled more against Barca than Madrid. PSG needed possession to counter that Highline, but Madrid reminded themselves of prime 2012 and said "let's do it"

If Hansi Flick hasn't figured out why both PSG and Real Madrid dismantled him, I’ll spell it out for him: his high-line system has a fatal, structural flaw. You cannot play a suicide high line against teams that are immune to your counter-press. PSG beat it by keeping the ball and effortlessly passing through the press to exploit the space in behind. Madrid didn't even need possession, they just won their tackles, broke the counter-press, and transitioned with devastating pace. The formula is completely out. Become press-resistant, break the first line, and attack their high line with pure intensity. Barca's system only works against teams they can bully.
