Want to renew you UK drivers license & avoid One Login?
1. Take your DVLA renewal reminder letter & current photocard to a Post Office. Pay the fee.
2. Get a D1 application pack from the Post Office & send the details to DVLA with the fee.
Both processes - three week wait
🚨 UK digital drivers licenses [mDLs] are almost ready for national deployment.
The process would involve going through One Login [digital ID verification] to onboard with the GOV.UK Wallet.
Our advice? Stick with the physical card.

DATA BREACHES
Is the DATA you give to the Government
SAFE? 🤔🤨 it seems NOT but no one seems to care😬 even the committee room was nearly empty! 🙄
This is Dame Chi Onwurah MP & Chair - Science, Innovation and Technology Committee speaking just yesterday in the Palace of Westminster. It just takes her 34seconds to answer. She doesn’t mince her words. 😮 DAMMING
“Rolling out AI driven public services over bad data infrastructure is a recipe for disaster” 😩
Listen for yourself. It’s only 34 seconds ⬇️
Here's a tip, Lisa Nandy; if you're going to do 'whatever it takes' to protect children online, why not sort out this nonsense with public institutions poor IT hygiene that leads to children's data exposed online.

New: the DHS officials who tried to search the man who wiped his GrapheneOS phone lied. They pushed him about having child abuse images. Documents reveal that was a pretext; he wasn't suspected of this at all. He's a Stop Cop City activist 404media.co/dhs-said-they-se…
After today's Revolut and other bank outages, do the following depending on your personal circumstances:
1⃣ Go to a fee-free ATM point
2⃣ Withdraw an emergency £50-100 cash or whatever denomination you use
You will be thankful you did.
- Revolut
- Lloyds Bank
- Bank of Scotland
- HSBC
- Halifax
- Barclays
Major UK banks and fintech experiencing a significant outage.
Outages are becoming more commonplace.
You need to have a reserve of cash and start using it.
Check Downdetector for the latest outages:

"On dit quelquefois: le sens commun est fort rare"
It is sometimes said that common sense is very rare.
- First reported by Dominique Rizet of BFMTV
- No police report or statement available
- 'Stripped' allegation was a verbal claim alone

This image from events in France overnight is doing the rounds on this sewer. I've not seen it verified so was curious to run it through an AI check.
The new OpenAI tool came up with nothing, a surface level SynthID check via Gemini was the same. However, going direct to synthid.com for analysis and here we are.
Now, the reports from Le Parisien are genuine. The newspaper reports that an elderly couple were allegedly robbed and left in their underwear near Place de la République, citing a police source.
But there's an important point here, and one that X continually exploits time and time again. The existence of a reported incident doesn't establish the authenticity of an image supposedly showing it. Nor is an AI detection tool, or the absence of a watermark, definitive proof either way.
Until the original source of this image can be established, it remains unverified and should be treated as such. It's an important reminder of how easily a genuine news report and an unverified image can become one seemingly credible story that whips up outrage and further hostility.
An incident might have occurred, but the primary source who reported it on-air and on their website also caveated that it was a claim and not verified by the police or City.
There's also no original image for verification.

Here's how exactly Telegram provides user data to U.S. authorities. A letter recently filed in court shows how Telegram transfers that data, such as IP address and phone number.

Disinformation and Misinformation is a real and present danger --- from the UK government and its philanthropic co-funders who all appear to have funded extremist organisations who sew division amongst us all. It is not Russia that we need worry about it is our own domestic governmental abusers.

‼️ An admin using the password "123456" led to the breach of 8.8 million people's data in Denmark, the hacker told.
At least three accounts used it at Pays ApS, a two-person private IT firm with lawful access to the national population register.
The deep irony here is that with the govts 'whatever it takes' mantra to protect children ™︎ and with its current trajectory, Britons might have to ID verify at a device level to access Google Maps for live fuel prices.
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
GDS are adding 'open banking' as a way to complete identity verification for One Login in 2027.
There's not enough technical info to comment on the privacy aspect, but it will surely make people jittery based on its introduction alone.

Now just imagine for a moment that Britons had a type of CPR [unique National ID number] involved in the Electoral Commission breach of 2021 that exposed *40m* UK voters details.
That Electoral Commission breach wasn't discovered for almost a *year*.

We live in 'Data Breach Britain', a country that has a poor reputation when it comes to protecting your most sensitive data.
What Nandy is doing is very dangerous & creates a large attack-surface that could inevitably lead to greater breaches of your personal identifiable data.
So we're now back to this COVID-era style of 'hard checks for everyone'.
But this time it's not temporary & neither is it to 'protect Granny' or 'save the NHS'. It's to 'protect children'.
A papers please society will never work in Britain.
