Why?: SCORE with high efficiency.
Stop wasting time with old school teaching. Become a highly efficient scorer with science-based learning.

One of the most challenging aspects of coaching (teaching) is preventing the “knowledge of what it should look like” from getting in the way of how a specific player chooses to come up with their own efficient solution. It may not “look right” but if it’s efficient, it’s right.

HOT TAKE:
You can be a great coach and still have a losing season.
You can be a poor coach and win a championship.
The scoreboard doesn’t always tell the whole story.
Our brains are naturally inclined to avoid effortful thinking, to instead rely on familiar patterns and simply repeating what is comfortable and known.
We only grow, learn & improve when we first intentionally engage. @GBACoach

Indiana ‘27 commit Finley Parker @FinHoops_0 was in the gym training this morning. She’s one of the nation’s premier frontcourt shot makers. Parker could be a 40% caliber threat from the 3-point line in college.

If you’re waiting for or relying on motivation to get closer to a goal, you might as well give up now. Commitment is what will get you there when you don’t feel like it. Motivation is a feeling and will rarely consistently lead the way. Motivation can show up after movement…
gets your butt going. Commitment will get and keep you moving no matter how you feel.
Be COMMITTED to a goal not simply motivated if you really want to have an opportunity.
Commitment is a CHOICE and your ability to CHOOSE is your superpower. Use it wisely @GBACoach

The world is not designed to GIVE us a good life. It’s designed to distract us from building one.
We must be diligent in designing & maintaining our own environment in ways that help us reach our goals.
Pay attention to & eliminate things that distract & destroy your dreams.
Too many kids miss a FT, or any shot) and immediately allow their neg thoughts & emotions to hinder their next shot or actions.
Learning how to manage thoughts & emotions and not carry them over like a massive weight on your back into the next action is key to success.
The instant the emotions are allowed to take over the moment is the same moment a player loses the ability, the opportunity to learn and make adjustments or adaptations for the next time. Can’t have neg thoughts/emotions and learn at the same time.
