Every delayed DNA result represents victims waiting for justice, suspects remaining on the streets, and investigations grinding to a halt.
The information brought to our attention regarding SAPS’ forensic DNA backlogs raises serious concerns about the state of our criminal justice system. These allegations require urgent transparency and decisive action.
Parliament will continue to demand answers and accountability until South Africans have confidence that forensic evidence is being processed efficiently and without unnecessary delay.
