On Friday the 13th 1987, the first and only time the horror legend Vincent Price performed the monologue from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” live, ending it with that laugh that still freezes the blood. Happy Thrillerween X Halloween #ThrillerChallenge2026 #Thrillerween

It's a bum! It's lush! No, it's Superdrunk! Faster than a Russian Bot farm! More powerful than an Boilermaker! And able to leap tall bar stools in a single bound!

Do you know what's even worse than personal computers using the world's limited supply of memory chips? Tech Bro Billionaires. Especially the ones who think they're God (that would be all of them).
Sam Altman says its bad that everyone's personal computers are using the world's limited supply of memory chips. "It’s quite terrible to have everybody have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAMs sitting in their own computer, and being used 5% of the time. Like, you want maximum utilization."

Sam Altman thinks RAM sitting in personal computers is a waste when it could be put to better use in data centers. Weird. I was just thinking that all those billions sitting in billionaires’ bank accounts could be put to much better use in our communities.

This woman represents most Americans btw. “It’s hard for me to even believe that anyone continues to support the lunacy of the president. I can’t even say his name. He is outrageously demented. He is sick and he is on his mission about power and greed and corruption. It is truly disgraceful. And for Americans to not be able to see what is going on is truly shocking. All of his cabinet, they are all corrupt. It is just disgraceful.” This is how every American should feel btw. This administration will go down as the most corrupt, the most divisive and one of the worst in history.

BREAKING: OpenAI cuts its funding target by $10B to $20B and slashes its valuation target from $1.4T to $1.25T, per FT. The move comes as investor concerns over AI spending grow and tech stocks face a major sell-off.

Patrick Stewart's stories from DUNE are pretty great. There's a whole thing about how David Lynch was disappointed when he showed up because ... well, I won't spoil it. And then this, on his first conversation with Sting, is quite funny:
Patrick Stewart was amazing, a bygone sort of actor with working-class ethics and classical aesthetics. One of the most generally beloved men in Hollywood. Could play a nasty villain! Great actor, he will be missed. thebulwark.com/p/patrick-ste…
