The best investment opportunities are often second-order effects. Regulation creates compliance, but it also creates entirely new infrastructure markets. That’s where long-term value is built. @DebolaOmololu, CEO of our portco @GFunded_Africa Article businessday.ng/opinion/artic…

This morning we got to join the blowing of the kudu horn and deliver an address at the Opening of the AT50 Index at the @JSE_Group . Launched at the London Stock Exchange earlier this year, the Africa Tech 50 Index (AT50) is a rules-based quarterly benchmark tracking up to 50 of Africa's most listing-ready private technology companies. It is the first index of its kind, providing institutional investors with a transparent, governable framework for exposure to African tech growth. The ceremony brought together leaders from the investment institutions, global banks, development finance, exchanges and Africa’s most scaled private technology companies to explore how innovation, investment and capital formation can accelerate South Africa's digital economy and drive inclusive growth. #ANationAtWork #ThePeoplesParliament 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

Entertainment is no longer just content. The strongest gaming and consumer platforms are becoming ecosystems around attention, culture, and community. A key theme from our GP @GOduneye’s discussion at the @londonvcnetwork Summit. #VentureCapital #ConsumerTech

🚀 Brilliant to have Gbite Oduneye, Managing Partner at ODBA, leading a recent Executive VC Fellowship session, tackling an essential skill for any investor: writing investment memos. We were kindly hosted at the offices of Jones Day, where Sage Revell gave our Fellows a brief overview of the firm and its work supporting venture-backed companies and funds. Gbite then led an extended, practitioner-led session that went well beyond the fundamentals. He took our Fellows through the full anatomy of an investment memo: - The core building blocks: methodology, key metrics, and how to approach valuation with rigour - How to structure a memo that builds conviction and communicates clearly to an investment committee - What separates a good memo from one that actually drives a decision - Lessons learned from his own journey as an investor, including the mistakes that shaped how he evaluates opportunities today This was one of our most in-depth sessions to date, with Gbite generous with his time and open about the personal side of developing investment judgement. Our Fellows brought sharp questions on how to balance quantitative analysis with qualitative considerations, and how memo-writing discipline evolves as you mature as an investor. A huge thank you to Gbite for an extended and candid session, and to Sage Revell and Jones Day for hosting us. 🎓 Explore LVCN Education Programmes: lnkd.in/eP9U24z4 🤝 Meet the Fellows & join us at the London VC Summit on 15 May 2026: londonvcnetwork.com/summit

Africa’s investment story is not a capital problem. It is a structuring and execution problem. Our GP @GOduneye moderated a panel at the @AfricanBChamber to discuss the next phase of investment into Africa. Capital exists. Alignment is the constraint. #InvestInAfrica

@odbavc ends 2025 tightening our standard as early-stage investors: sharper IC discipline, clearer governance, ESG as risk management & more deliberate follow-ons. Africa and diaspora-led, selective global where we have edge. Here’s to a 2026 of execution & compounding outcomes
