I fully support the right to choose an abortion. But it feels wrong that my own 23 week old fetus will soon be protected from my choice to abort, unless they happen to have Downs Syndrome meaning I could have an abortion right up to 40 wks.
This sends such a strong, sad signal.
A woman with Down's syndrome is launching a legal challenge to current abortion laws.
The law allows terminations up to full term in cases of "severe foetal abnormality" in England, Scotland and Wales.
