You got HISA/ tracks fining jockeys for hitting a horse over 6 strikes and then you got Delaware Park stewards suspending one of their leading riders who always tries his best for making the decision not to persevere with a horse who clearly was not good enough?! Runs back 2 weeks later and is eased again yet @chuan_martin gets fined and 15 days?!?! What is the message being sent here exactly? Ridiculous, do better.

This is one of the things I worry about with the future of racing. Tracks obviously need premium seating and hospitality revenue. But racing also needs to create new fans. If the best experiences at major racing days become something only wealthy customers can afford, we're making it harder for an ordinary sports fan to discover the game. The Belmont Stakes shouldn't just be a premium event. It should be one of racing's best opportunities to create the next generation of fans.

Trump: the Kennedy Center "was losing hundreds of millions" before I got involved. Reality: $40.7M surplus in FY2024. Since he took over: $23M projected deficit. He's not saving the Kennedy Center. He's the reason it needs saving. And he wants "recognition" for it.

Imagine being the Rams staffers who were shipped back and forth like postcards for two years just so the team could sleepwalk through Game 1
The Rams are all in for the night. It's 9:45 PM in Melbourne. They slept on the flight over and will sleep now in the hotel for one night and they'll wake up and play a football game in 12 hours. This isn't some trial and error approach. They've sent 15 staffers over last 2 years and have tracked their bodies and sleep rhythms. This was deemed the approach. No turning back now.

How on Earth is there 1 second left? He throws a 50-yard lollipop pass from the 50 yard-line. This is one of the greatest screw jobs I've ever seen. To give Michigan another play makes no sense. Just an egregious blunder. How do you even explain that?

While everybody is up in arms over the current HISA situation, I feel like now’s a good time to bring up again that I claimed the first horse (Flatterwithjewels) that was voided due to failed test (which came back over a month after having her.) I was told she would be suspended 6 months and not able to run or breeze, therefore we wanted to give the horse back. It took nearly another month to get her back to Milton Pineda after all the runaround. I was refunded my claim and tax by the California Racing Commission. However, I spoke with several members of HISA and they guaranteed all my “cost and care” would be refunded to me too, that they have funds set aside for that if the trainer doesn’t pay. Well before they had my hearing to recoup my “cost and care,” they suspended Pineda 15 years. He supposedly hightailed it to Mexico. I asked what am I supposed to do now? They tell me I’m going to have to take him to small claims court to recoup my $8,300. How am I supposed to take somebody who is out of the country now to small claims court?! Nearly 3 years later and still no resolution. Until this ever gets settled, I will never fully have faith in HISA

Dolly Parton spent her life helping kids, marginalized communities and people in need, while entertaining millions. She never had to, she chose to. In a world full of wannabe Donald Trumps, choose to be a Dolly Parton.
