Can you imagine if the U.S., in the middle of the fight against the Nazis, had switched sides and allied ourselves with the Germans. That's exactly what's happened with Russia. We have not only betrayed Ukraine and Europe, but we've betrayed all who have fought and died for freedom.

First Lady Melania Trump is claiming credit for a ceasefire in Russian-occupied Oleshky, southern Ukraine.
But the Vatican says it was Pope Leo XIV who phoned Putin on Oct. 16, while still in hospital after lung cancer surgery, and asked for a truce to get food and aid in. The Kremlin confirmed the call. Secretary of State Cardinal Parolin says the initiative was the pope's.
As @thedailybeast notes, it's reminiscent of 2016, when Melania said she wrote her RNC speech "with as little help as possible," only for whole passages to turn out to mirror Michelle Obama's 2008 convention speech.

Just talked to an Ohio voter who said she didn’t care about the Vivek ad. Voting for this loser, creep, chud anyway, because she didn’t like Acton’s Covid response. I’ve also heard from lots of Paxton voters who are happy to hold their nose to keep the state red. Don’t count on anti-Trump turnout. GO VOTE.
