It would not be wild to see a united Ireland, no. Historically, what’s wild is that Ireland was partitioned in the first place.
🇮🇪 Ireland's Taoiseach (PM) Micheál Martin is launching a new government body to research UNITY with Northern Ireland for the FIRST time. It will examine 3 scenarios: full 32-county unity, NI remaining in the UK, and a united Ireland with a devolved North under Dublin. Martin wants an evidence-based discussion, not partisan pushes that treat a border poll as easy and inevitable. He aims to include unionist voices. Cabinet proposals are expected before Christmas. Wouldn’t it be wild to see a united Ireland again? Source: Reuters / Writer: Jamie

The comments by DUP leader Gavin Robinson today were arrogant and supremacist. The DUP is consumed with their own internal leadership troubles and divisions. They are in turmoil. The days of domination and supremacy are over. The days of treating people like second class citizens are over. There will be no going back. Not now, and not ever. I, as First Minister, will be at the Assembly on Monday morning, along with Sinn Féin’s Ministers, to continue our work. We will keep showing up every day for people.

Never once have I seen any of these sad freaks use their positions of power to improve the lives of anybody they represent All they exist to do is divide and obstruct. A completely useless party
💥⚠️BREAKING: 'Joint activities cease with First Minister Michelle O'Neill. We will ensure she will not be at Remembrance Sunday' - DUP won't collapse Executive for now, but 'options are available' 🎤🎥@duponline leader @GRobinsonDUP has announced that deputy First Minister @little_pengelly will cease participating in joint engagements with Sinn Féin First Minister Michelle O’Neill. Mr Robinson said Ms Little-Pengelly would also withhold permission for Ms O’Neill to undertake engagements alone in her capacity as First Minister. While stopping short of withdrawing Ms Little-Pengelly from her post, a move that would collapse the Stormont Executive, the DUP leader refused to rule out taking that step in the future. The announcement follows a meeting of DUP party officers today to discuss their response to a police investigation involving Ms O’Neill and several Sinn Féin colleagues over their participation in an allegedly unlawful protest on the Garvaghy Road in Portadown last month. More on-air and online from Chief Reporter @jamesgould23.

The murder MI5 wants to hide. Almost 30 years after Sean Brown was kidnapped from a football club, British intelligence is still censoring files that could help solve his murder👇 declassifieduk.org/the-murde…

I’m in London today standing alongside the family of Sean Brown as they continue their fight for truth & justice. Almost 30 years after Sean’s murder, his family are still being dragged through the courts by the British government. Five judges have already made clear that a public inquiry is needed, yet the British government continues to fight it. What are they so determined to hide? Bridie & her family have suffered enough. It’s long past time they were granted the full public inquiry they deserve.

Why don't they ever thank any of the other regiments who served here? Why is it always the Paras? Why is it only the Para Regiment fleg we see flying, and always some fresh ones around the end of January? A deliberate and pointed "fuck you" from a culture of hate.

‘Defend the peace’
Ahead of this week's debates on the Northern Ireland Troubles Bill I went to speak to some of our brave veterans outside Parliament. We must ensure that those who fought to defend the peace in Northern Ireland are themselves protected from vexatious legal processes.

No. 10 knowing back in 1973 that the UDR was hopelessly infiltrated by the UVF and UDA, and actively engaged in murder, remains one of the most existentially shocking facts to emerge from the conflict. IMHO.
