Game Day! GCU Arena tonight at 7 PM is the first formal chance to look at this new group, albeit an exhibition. They take on division 2 Western New Mexico and you can watch/listen in the usual spots. Excited to get this season formally underway!

Per the article below, looks like GCU/Memphis will be on ESPN+. No confirmation yet on the GCU side, but the Lopes get a game on ESPN+.

6 game suspension for Popovic means he will be suited up when GCU travels to take on the Tigers. He was 14 & 6 in their exhibitions, versatile and older big. Pretty significant addition.

Real quick thoughts looking at @GCU_MBB schedule at gculopes.com: - GCU going with the 7 PM tip on weekdays, 6 PM on weekends again - First Sunday game at home I can remember on Nov. 29th - The Oklahoma State on Wednesday then Saturday Santa Clara will be a fun few days - Would have loved to see Santa Clara game earlier (understand needing rest after trip), maybe a 3 or 4 PM tip. Also wonder where that game gets picked up by for streaming/TV(nothing on site yet) - Memphis game slated for a 6 PM tip, no TV/streaming yet - Florida 4 PM tip, on ESPNU - 2:30 PM tips on CW on Saturdays will be awesome

This number, which I know @MattNorlander had said was merely an estimation, will make the rounds. Shocked to see people startled by the general amount GCU is spending, not exactly a secret they invest a lot into their athletics. A few things: 1. Spending/investing in a program is a great thing. It is one of the reasons why GCU has accomplished so much in such little time (time being relative, so new to D1 hoops) 2. With this, comes big time expectations. Everyone around the program knows this, and they don't run from expectations 3. GCU Fans should be ecstatic, this is significant investment in a program. No idea how this will move forward, but all I care is... Everybody is cleared, or nobody is cleared. I don't want certain states/teams having guys eligible, and others not. We will see how this affects things.

It is just the preseason. But for anybody who had the slightest thought of "Ok maybe there is some tape on Jake Hall so there could be a tiny bit of regression" or "He can't do it again right?" or used metaphors like "Pitchers always are worse the third time through the order", he seems to be ready to run it back once again as an elite guard in all of college basketball.
