So having Nick Saban, Bobby Bowden, Steve Spurrier will make the players catch better, block better, not commit penalties, etc? Got it ✔️

Utah head coach Morgan Scalley revealed during Saturday’s College GameDay broadcast that a conversation with Nick Saban about defensive schemes left him questioning his understanding of football.
Scalley reportedly recalled Saban criticizing his defensive approach during a discussion about Cover 3 coverage, telling him, “Son, that’s not Cover 3. That’s three defensive backs watching a touchdown from different angles.”

Shannon Sharpe says that Deion Sanders may need to change the way he recruits players moving forward 👀
“It ain't about you, it's about these kids.”
Unc states that today's top recruits expect coaches to personally visit their homes and meet their families.
"Guys ain't coming. If you can't go to their house, their grandma's house, their mom's house, their granddad's house, they're not coming. It's just not enough for you to be Deion Sanders, Coach Prime."
"You have to take yourself out of the equation. It ain't about you, it's about these kids. And you got to show them that it's about them."

Voices like this are the reason NCAA athletes need to form a union. Pride and pageantry? People just be making things up…
The NIL Era is showing UGLY early returns on the backup QB market:
Michigan needs to bench Bryce Underwood but can't
Julian Sayin hurt, but an unheralded tFr. is his backup
John Mateer is a sloth but Oklahoma is stuck
Nico Iamaleava out, unproven FCS-FBS transfer in
etc. etc.
Meanwhile Tennessee out here showing what happens when you have to start/play a highly-touted 5-star QB without experience (or risk him transfer for playing time)
The era of sticking with a university/program for pride/pageantry is long gone

🚨 SCHOOL SHOOTER IDENTIFIED: 16-year-old John J. Griffin has been identified as the gunman who killed three children, ages 5, 8, and 11, and a teacher at an Oregon elementary school. Now, the first reported photos of the teenager have emerged.
BEND, OREGON — Griffin reportedly used a shotgun purchased by his mother to shoot through locked doors at Silver Rail Elementary School before opening fire.
A 7-year-old child and a 54-year-old teacher were also critically injured.
The massacre ended when Kaylub Giamanco, a father of two students at the school, followed the gunman inside and fatally shot him.
Investigators are still working to establish a motive and determine how Griffin obtained access to the weapon.
Three children went to elementary school Thursday and never came home. The youngest was just 5 years old.
A father stepped in to stop the killing. Now investigators need to establish how a 16-year-old obtained the shotgun used to carry it out.
