So to tldr all this, mechs would still have to face tanks the same way infantry would, but mechs have the advantage of speed and mobility (especially the maneuver crawler design which I think is the most logical of them all albeit having a slightly different doctrine).

My favorite for explaining this is Project Landsword, because mechs are depicted as large high mobility wheeled vehicles carrying powerful weapons, but they're still vulnerable to tanks. You need to use cover, distance, and awareness to your advantage. Typical fire and maneuver

One of the only "true" Centroplexes in real life is Chongqing, China. The city is built vertically, and almost everything is connected through a suspended motor bridge, tram station, elevated walkway, or other mode of travel through such a dense structure.
