Feeling completely burned out from work lately.
Then today, a little girl walked into my office for an assessment.
I blocked one hour.
We ended up talking for two.
No interruptions.
Just me watching her brilliant, perfect mind unfold in real time.
She kept worrying I’d find something “wrong” with her.
She’s 2e neurodivergent… just like me.
Bullied for being “too dramatic,” “too much,” “too anxious.”
At the end she asked, “What are you going to do now that you know all about my brain?”
I told her:
I’m going to prove to you that your mind has no ceiling.
Your creativity, empathy, depth of feeling, and curiosity are limitless.
You have the mind of the greats.
The innovators.
The ones who change everything.
And then I’m going to teach every adult in your life how to make your days easier… and so much more fun.
This is what I want the rest of my career to be.
Listening to the misunderstood, “too much,” wonderfully weird little girls.
And breaking the old narrative that’s been suffocating them.

Netflix: We’re losing subscribers. How can we fix this??
Customers: You could invest in well-written stories instead of pushing 2nd screen content
Netflix: No!
Customers: You could also sign series for 2 or 3 seasons instead of waiting to see if it’s successful then making us wait 2 years for 8 episodes. I don’t want to commit to a show not knowing if it will get renewed.
Netflix: No! That won’t help!
Customers: Cancel subscription
